Truthfully one of the biggest struggles that I've had is finding kind and loving. The ballerina I saw was hot and smart but not kind or loving. She was into sex but not passion. She was probably the smartest woman I've met but often intolerable. I was glad to see her go. So I guess for me it is the trifecta - hot, smart, and kind. And 13 was dishonest. That was game killer. Several women I've seen thought they would work me like a used car dealer. The moment I know that's the game, it's over. 14 is a very kind and loving woman. She is also very honest. That's part of what makes her so special. Same with Number One.

I had been madly in love with Number One from day but had done my best to hide it. Then one night, after seeing her for six months, in the most blatant Freudian slip of my life, I told her I was in love with her. It just came spilling out when I meant to say something else entirely. She was shocked and I was mortified. I was afraid she might walk. But instead she took me by the hand, walked over to the bed [it was a hotel and we were having dinner], and we sat down. She looked me in the eyes with great compassion while holding my hand and said, "You know I'm not in love with you, right?". I was moved beyond belief. It meant everything to me that she didn't try to lie or lead me on. And she was so kind about it; so caring. That just made me love her even more. She was one of the kindest women I've ever met.

Only after meeting a few truly kind women did I understand how mean and nasty my ex and the women in my family are.

Again, this gets back to the beauty of sugar relationships. How can one hope to find all of this AND expect it to last a lifetime. It is like trying to win the lottery.

If you are satisfied know that there isn't any long term in your relationships, then who am I to suggest that something else is better. I just couldn't do what you are doing.

Now mind you, my relationship may be far from perfect, lord knows it is, but at least there is companionship and friendship to support the relationship far into the years. Unless he really pisses me off, and for that I have a backhoe.....

Heh, yes, it's a trade off. But my marriage left me holding a gun to my head. So I consider the limited aspects of these relationships a relatively small price to pay. What I know for sure is that time I've had with 1 and 14 has made me happier than I've ever been in my life. I didn't know it is possible to be so happy. I had never known true bliss before. I cherish every moment.

It reminds me of the old saying, the light that burns the brightest is the first to burn out.

Secondly, it is a practical arrangement. No doubt about. But that doesn't preclude that possibility that we can be close friends. If you think it does then maybe you just can make true friends. But it is something I require. If we can't get close then it doesn't work. And I've seen plenty of hookers so I do know the difference. You don't and I assume you've seen a bunch of cheap whores. I have also busted my ass to find relationship where we can grow close. That is why I have spent thousands of hours working to find that special niche.

Thirdly, to men like you, you're probably correct. You couldn't manage what I have. It requires sensitivity and a loving and caring heart. That is why you can't imagine loving a cat. It is beyond you.

Next, I never said 14 loves me. She cares about me but it isn't love. I'm the one who falls in love. But she did agree to keep seeing me even when I couldn't do anything for her for a number of months. Show me a hooker who does that - or even for an hour. We spend entire evenings together - not 2 or 3 hours, but 8 or 10 hours. She values our friendship and doesn't want to lose me. And she could have another sugar daddy in a day who has far more money than I do.

After 18 months Number One did admit that she loves me. And I knew that before she did. I knew it the first time we made love instead of just having sex. It took her several more months to admit it to herself. But she loves me as a close friend. It wasn't the kind of love that would have her marry a man 25 years older than her. And the proof is that three years after she left, she still loves me. When I see her we kiss and hug and still have that special bond. We will always have that bond. But I haven't done a thing for her since she left.

I've heard crap like you dish out for years. And while you judge, I am spending time in paradise. So eat your heart out! The woman I see is 22 years old, smart, gorgeous, kind and caring, and she treats me better than any woman ever has, less Number One. And in some ways better. She was open to a close relationship. I had to drag Number One into it kicking and screaming. She didn't want to get that close but I won her over with my undying love for her.

Hey, it is a good morning here in Rainville. We have been getting rain like crazy lately and I am not complaining. I only wish we could send some of it to help the firefighters who are battling the blazes in Ca. Pity rains can't be delivered when and where needed.
