Fat Democrat blame genetics, fat Republicans blame themselves

It all depends on ones lifestyle. I could never split a meal with my wife and still have some to take home. That wouldn't be enough fuel for my body, given that I exercise at least 5 days a week. That being said, I still tend to not clean my plate. But if someone (not saying you) leads a more sedentary lifestyle then they should absolutely not finish a restaurant meal given the portion sizes and how the food is cooked...lots of butter, fried, etc. What's worse are those who not only finish their meal (talking about the overweight people) but then have dessert. The US, on the whole, is such a gluttonous society it's disgusting.

 

When you see the body shape of those who consume the whole meal, you get a pretty good idea of whether they need the whole meal.

 

Acknowledging scientific reality in genetics (like climatology) vs being ridden with guilt may well be symptomatic of an ideological bifurcation.

Curiously it is those in denial concerning the latter who refuse to accept responsibility.

So why don't we stop trying to troll others and divide this country to reinforce our own false sense of superiority and get on with making America a better place? After all conservatives are in charge and so far have done a lousy job of uniting the United States.

I know a lot of folks who, while perhaps not happy that they are fat, aren't the least little bit ashamed of it either. In a world where starving wasn't so far away, or long ago, this seems to be perhaps what success looks like...
