Maybe global warming too, though that would have much more delay.

Think how deep Wells go, containing water that took thousands of years to get there. Pump it out and let it evaporate or flow and rain elsewhere. The water ends up in the ocean. That is why the levels are rising. That is why we have sink holes. That is why deserts are growing.

    Do you agree?

I've heard it said that the melting ice flows are also responsible for some of the rising ocean levels.

Mexico City Keeps Sinking As Its Water Supply Wastes Away

September 14, 2018 • "We are depleting volumes of water that took hundreds, thousands of years to store. Sooner or later it will run out," says Mexico City's outgoing water system director.

Only 2% of Earth's water is fresh. 1.5 of that is frozen. If you took all that water and defrosted it how much would you need to raise the ocean a foot?

How much of that frozen water is already displacing water?

Most of the water that is piped into wells for human bathing and consumption winds up going back to groundwater via sewerage systems and septic systems and leeching fields etc.

No. There is an ever increasing quantity of water on the planet. It forms from an interaction between the solar wind, made up of helium and hydrogen protons interacting with our oxygen rich atmosphere. Eventually, Earth will be completely covered in water. Dont worry, we still got a billion years.

All I know is, desalinated water costs $0.80 per 1000 litres. About 200 gallons.

And there is no shortage of saline water around.

So the water shortage crisis is all a complete non-issue drummed up by technocrats.

no actually, water expands when its frozen because its a polar molecule.

Once thawed, it would take less space, not more.

Most of it's from the 2016 election.

    That was all saltwater.
