good luck with that... economy at all time high, unemployment at all time low, many americans 30% wealthier than they were just 18 months ago for doing absolutely nothing!

Very true. They keep trying to judge a picture by some small blemish found in an obscure corner of it. These Trump-haters have no sense of scale or proportion, just their own myopic view of the world, and their hatred of anything that doesn't conform to it. They can't see the forest for the trees.

That accounts for his 41% approval. That means that 60% of Americans know that Trump has done nothing for the economy except threaten it with his harsh steel and aluminum tariffs and the trade wars he has started. Trump announced USMCA last Sunday. The following week the stock market had its worse week since March.

Most Americans know or they will soon find out that, because of his trade war with China, consumer prices will sharply increase after the holidays. The White House didn't want that to happen before or during the holidays.

What will you reaction be when that don't happen.

I wanted Scott Walker to be president. Failing that Marco Rubio. Failing that Ted Cruz. Failing that JEB Bush.

But I go with what we got.

And Sandy, just because people support President Trump despite his failings (which are legion) doesn't make them "ignorant' or "cultists".

It has strong authoritarian tendancies, a worship of power over rights, jingoism, no small part of open racism, and a cult of personality. Were Donald Trump a competent political leader he would probably be in a position to realize his heart's desire, to be a king.

Trump's his whole life is a lie? He lied to his own base.

The Times report runs counter to Trump's oft-repeated narrative: that he is a self-made billionaire who built his own empire.

The Times examined a "trove of confidential tax returns and financial records" showing that Trump received at least $413 million in today's dollars from when he was a child through the present day, not the one million dollars Trump often states, and not a loan he paid back with interest as Trump often states. For example, the Times reports that Trump was receiving $200,000/year as a three-year old. By the time he was 8, he was a millionaire.

The Times has revealed that Trump received the equivalent today of at least $413 million from his father’s real estate empire. What’s more, much of this money came to Trump through dubious tax schemes he participated in during the 1990s, including instances of outright fraud.

What has been the reaction of Trump's fans? They don't even blink an eye. Mostly, they simply ignore these facts and talk about our great economy and unemployment rate. Some argued that defrauding the government of tax revenue was a standard business practice, illustrating how they feel about our nation's laws.

I see. Explain something to me. If Iran were to withdraw from the JCPOA just as Trump did with the U.S., what is to stop Iran from resuming her research on nuclear weapons?

Explain this while you are at it. You have expressed your undying support for Trump's foreign policy. Trump withdrew from the TPP. Trump withdrew from the JCPOA. He rejected Security Council resolutions and unilaterally declared Jerusalem the capital of Israel, thereby removing the U.S. from Middle East peace negotiations. He has threatened to withdraw the U.S. from the WTO. He threaten to withdraw from NAFTA. He has removed the U.S. from its leadership role in the G-7, and the U.S. has become a pariah within that organization.

Tell me, with Trump as President, why should any nation in the world trust the U.S. in an agreement? Depending on the circumstances -- which could be who he last talked to -- Trump can just withdraw from a signed agreement. He has done it.

Yeah, I know, you can't answer either question. Praise be to Trump and all his glory, right?

My investments are up too. They were under Bush a few months before the crash. In answering the other post, it still doesn’t mean I’m 30 % wealthier. Otherwise, my house, cars and all my toys would have to be up 30%. It’s called the distributive property in math.
Make no mistake, we are in a sugar high. It’s happened after every Republican President for decades who cut taxes dramatically.
Sugar high followed by rising energy costs followed by a recession.

this started before the tax cuts. the market responded with enthusiasm just to the news that obama was gone and a business man was going to be setting policy for a while. it was almost over night. then you had the djia breaking record after record as it closed at a record high for SEVENTY straight days.

our net worth is up double digits.

Simple. Because the U.S. is too big and strong to ignore no matter whom is president.

Please , that was the market by days. The monthly job increases have fallen below Obama's average. When economic growth breaks Obama’s record for consecutive months, then come back and tell us how great Mr Bankruptcy is doing. He’d be homeless if it wasn’t for Russian finance, so wouldn’t the NRA. Bush had a few good years riding Clinton’s economy too...then the s.h.i,t hit the fan.

BuzzFeed’s Mary Ann Georgantopoulos compiled a Gish Gallop of “Trump’s Lies And Other B*******,” and first on her list is the accusation that his March 20 tweet was a lie. She wrote [emphasis mine]:

Lie: Trump posted the… tweet just hours after FBI Director James Comey and National Security Agency Director Mike Rogers began testifying about Russian interference in the 2016 election in favor of Trump. Comey testified that the FBI came to believe that Russia was using “active measures” to hurt the Clinton campaign and help the Trump campaign.”

Yes, Ms. Georgantopoulos; Comey and Rogers believe that Russia was using such measures, but their belief is not based on evidence or facts, as they testified. Democrats ignored the universal human right of a presumption of innocence, which is why they chose to believe Supreme Court Associate Justice Brett Kavanaugh was an alcoholic rapist without evidence or facts. Comey and Rogers served their masters in the Democrat Party with an identical appetite for ignoring the ‘guilty without evidence’ ideal. Trump believes in the rule of law, so he summed up their lack of evidence as any judge would; The NSA and FBI tell Congress that Russia did not influence electoral process.

See the rest of my reply here.

You don't have much of a choice since there isn't an argument you can present. Trump doesn't lie so you cannot provide an example of one and neither could the Failing New York Times. They simply used a bunch of nasty adverbs, verbs, nouns, and adjectives to beat up legal and normal tax avoidance any big corporation does.
