Recently I had a back and forth with another poster about his use of this symbol as his avatar....

After getting nowhere in inquiring as to why someone would use this symbol as their avatar I gave up...Can anyone in here tell me why they would use this symbol?

What the heck is it? I had to look it up. So if a person has this as their avatar they either are members of or sympathize with some of the white nationalists. Or they are just ignorant.

Well I suppose it could be both. Either way a person has this and they should most likely just be put on ignore as not worth your time. I have a whole list of those racist jabroni's on my ignore list.

It’s a meme that the alt right used in the very early days. I don’t think it’s used at all anymore.

Ok, I get that, and I read that as well, when I posted to him the article, and what it said the reply was for me to define "alt right" and I have to admit, I don't know, other than something leftists use as a slur against posters that don't agree with them....

    Can you define "alt right"?

I’ll jump in here, a lot of lies have been told about Kek and the flag.

First of all, Kek was a “god” invented by 4chan as a joke against people trying to control what they loved, video games.

I have been a lurker of 4chan, where this comes from, for quite a while. The best was, as they call it, “The Great Meme War of 2016”.

Most of it started out of “Gamer Gate”. Feminists and her core Leftists were busy trying to change everything to benefit women, when they reached for a group who wanted absolutely nothing to do with it.

The “nerds” fired back and a giant controversy was born. In the end, those same gamers used memes and long running jokes to try to “win” the field of internet jokes.

Kekistan was created as a made up country where the gamers and 4chaners could get away from the Feminism they thought was ruining gaming. When Trump won and Feminists have been in retreat for two years, the Kekistanis (as they jokingly call themselves) lamented that they win and spread more memes and jokes around the internet.

When they (lead by Sargon of Akkad) found out that you could create a religion, they actually placed “Kek” as a god to worship and for the needed signatures to meet the UKs definition of a religion. Here is their description of the “Church of Kek”:

“The Cult of Kek, also known as the Church of Kek, is a satirical religion based around the worship of the ancient Egyptian deity Kek[4] (also spelled Kuk or Keku), an androgynous God of darkness and chaos who is often depicted as a frog or frog-headed man in male form or a snake-headed woman in female form. On 4chan, the character Pepe the Frog is often considered a modern avatar of the diety, who uses ancient Egyptian meme magic to influence the world, often by fulfilling the wishes of posts that end in repeating numbers. Additionally, the deity is associated with the popular 4chan slang term "Kek", and is often embraced by supporters of 2016 Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump. Practitioners are known to frequently write "praise Kek," and jokingly refer to the church as a "religion of peace."”

I think the famous CNN meme, where they tracked down and doxxed a kid for his meme, was also one of theirs.

EDIT (it was and there was an actual “operation” against CNN who was branding them sexists. They called it “Operation Autism Storm”. Because a person on CNN called them “Autostic”, which you would think would be a no go for the far Left....anyways)

In the end, Feminists especially were so angry as it was perceived by all sides that the “kekistanis” did influence things in some ways. As a parting attack to the side they felt “won the war”, Feminists started calling them Nazis (like usual)

As Feminists are in charge of large pieces of the Left Wing machine, the term spread to the media and anyone else who agreed with Feminists.

Yes their comments are vile, but done in jest. As was the attack memes created by Left groups was equally “vile”.

And I’m the end, the Left smear if “Nazis” took over for half the country and basically 90% of the media, so the smear stuck in a lot of groups.

But feel free to go to 4chan or the Reddit kekistan, 90% of the comments are obvious satire.

That’s how I saw it, google “The Great Meme War of 2016” and you will get the full story to hear, it’s pretty funny and also pretty fascinating.

Not really true, it was branded this way by the Left and then the alt right took it to piss the Left off.

Originally, the meaning is much more complicated. See above

    Lol, Nazis.... NAZIS EVERYWHERE!!!!

Again, your grandparents would be ashamed of such a childish and immature comment, based on people who destroyed their lives.

    Shameful

Some skeezy bastard invented Jordan Peterson because of that flag.

And "alt right" is what Richard Spencer labelled his merry gang of neo-nazis. I'm surprised many good people on both side have forgotten, it wasn't so long ago they all proudly wore the tag.

Why say things that are so blatantly untrue?

Jordan was pissed off that Feminsim was changin institutions, with plenty of evidence he was right.

4chan/gamers were pissed of that feminism was changing games, with plenty of evidence they are right.

More and more people think calling those you disagree with bad names is a whining, dishonest and untrue way to try to smear your opponents of their opinion.

People don’t care, Frminism support is at an ALL TIME LOW in almost every country because of this.

Just because people see things differently doesn’t make them racist, sexist or whatever.

You guys have said it so much that only 20-25% of far Left Porgressives even pat attentiok anymore. The more you smear, the more those people grow. I would advise you stop doing it, but I like Jordan Peterson and those calling out Progressives for personally attacking someone they disagree with.

It’s a disgusting tactic and the majority of America agrees
