I wouldn't wish for any of them to have a root canal, but I wouldn't care if they did, and I'd be glad the procedure was available and safe. Same with abortion.

I can't really wrap my head around that one.

I'm neutral on the matter. If they didn't have me, I wouldn't be around to care. I'm not narcissistic enough to believe the world needs my presence.

    Yes.

How does the particular woman like being treated? Treat her that way.

Depends entirely how you define the word. For example, emergency contraception pills are essentially abortificient drugs, but they're called contraception.

No. That's very prudish. To each their own.

Yes, but in the same way that not needing to have a tooth pulled is better than having a tooth pulled.

    Obviously, I can do that.

I don't know. It would depend entirely on the situation. But people talking is a good thing.

They most definitely would if simply having a legal medical procedure meant a prison term.

Dude, seriously you know ****ing nothing about history. Abortion was so common during the Roman era that they drove a natural abortifacient plant extinct from overuse.

I understand your opinion and also understand the hyperbole behind the use of pro abort vs. pro choice. No one I have ever heard of promotes or champions abortion but many do so for maintaining the right of choice. The Holocaust comparison is simply an addition to this angry and dishonest tactic....ineffective and telling. Likely you will resort to the Baby killer whimper next.

I do not think there is anyone who champions abortion nor do I think there is anyone who wants it completely banned. This means that the middle-ground rests on the very basic notion that abortion is undesireble and that what puts someone in a situation where abortion is demanded is wrong.

Although I strongly support all agreements that are contractual, it does not mean that I all of them moral. I believe in virtues and vices and I believe every individual is capable of constructing plans on how to reach the most virtuous - or at least the least vicious - ends. Our choices always have consequences and since we are always able to choose x over y, we can be held accountable for the consequences of our choices.

Since my premise is that no woman constructs a plan with the goal of one day having an abortion and no man constructs a plan with the goal of putting a woman in a seat where she has to visit the abortion clinic, my conclusion is that having to visit the abortion clinic is the result of a mistake (a vices or at least a non-virtue) that could have been avoided if the involved parties would have been more aware of the consequences of their actions and prioritised differently. I do believe that human beings are allowed to make mistakes, it is how we learn and become better.

As a whole, abortion should be avoided and anyone who disputes that is not thinking clearly enough.

Just because something has "existed all throughout history", does not mean it is right. Rape has existed "all throughout history" and so was the case for slavery until the West decided to ban it. Of course, both rape and slavery is wrong.

Just because the SCOTUS VIOLATES the Constitution with that absurd ruling does not automatically make abortion ILLEGAL nationwide.

At least half of the states will CONTINUE to provide abortions and you CAN'T stop women from traveling from one state to another in order to obtain an abortion.

There is NO legal concept called the "sanctity" of human life. It is a RELIGIOUS concept and therefore VIOLATES the 1st Amendment when it comes to the Law of the Land.

Your Gen X,Y,Z claptrap makes no sense whatsoever.

In which case why the glaring ABSENCE of any brain usage in the above content?

Any pregnant woman can obtain a medical abortificant like RU-486 in pill form and use it to terminate the pregnancy in the first semester. Even if you tried to ban the sale of these pills they can be easily smuggled into the country. Every Gen Z woman already KNOWS this and will take advantage of it because they are educated enough to know that having an UNWANTED CHILD can ruin their lives.

Your ANECDOTE does not mean squat when it comes to factual data.

Then there is the inconvenient FACT that women OUTNUMBER men when it comes to voting. They will just vote out anyone who tries to take away their reproductive rights, even in RED states. Women of ALL generations do NOT like being dictated to by ill informed men.

Birth control is responsible for the majority of that difference.

In fact Obamacare REDUCED abortions just by providing free contraception.

If you want to reduce abortion by 40% provide Long Acting Reversible Contraceptives (LARC's) to the most at risk group of all.

But you don't want to KNOW about any of these alternatives because they don't give you any CONTROL over women's bodies.

If that is your starting point are you willing to fund Long Acting Reversible Contraceptives to all at risk teenagers?

It means paying higher taxes but it will eliminate 40% of abortions.

Are you willing to pay for that to happen?

    Yes or no?

No. I have no moral obligation to fund other people's sexual habits. Tax funded contraceptives would be a great way of ruining the incentives for people to be cautious and this is said not because I oppose contraceptives, but because I oppose taxation. In my opinion, people who cannot even afford a condom should not even have sex.

However. I will assume that you are willing to finance contraceptives for teenagers, so what stops you from starting a private charity? I am sure many Liberals share this opinon and unless you all are a bunch of hyprocrites, that charity would be very effective.

Explain why there is an abortion procedure detailed in your bible and why your god ordered the Israelites to commit abortions on pregnant women?

They kind of are. They are far more successful than they are falible. It is kind of like arguing for smoking being healthy because some people who smoke live to be 100 years old. A good old reductio ad absurdum.

Around 4000 years ago the Ancient Egyptians used crocodile dung to induce abortions and the Ancient Greeks used a poisonous mint plant.

The Ancient Romans had some of the finest healthcare in the world including surgical instruments that you still find being used today and the use of anesthetics. The Hippocratic Oath is named after an Ancient Greek medical practitioner.

So much for Gen Z being "educated"!

Had you posted this vs. what you did then my reply would have been quite different...alas you did not and so it wasn't. Undesirable does not equate to wrong and virtue or moral are subjective opinion which falls back to the actual issue here.

You are completely welcome to have your opinion but not welcome to make others live by it.

Undesireble is equal to wrong, I cannot find one single example that contradicts this notion (taken under consideration that the "undesireble condition" is self-caused). And there are in fact objective morals such as dp not steal, do not kill and do not use force.
