Not really ... because showing a Trump follower the actual truth is as pointless as a woodpecker with a rubber beak.
They believe everything Trump says ... even if he says that 1 + 1 is now 11 because it makes America Great Again, according to Trump, they believe that!

Because China was annoyed with NK and had enough because saw their own interests in danger is the real reason ... not the warmongering of Trump.

    My friend,

Deplorables are not stoopid people. I mean, we have enough brains not to have voted for Hillary, right? And we do not scream at the sky... Democrats do that :nana:

Probably. Obama is to much of a self absorbed narcissist to actually give Trump credit for it. He'll try and steal it and claim it was his foreign policy that started the process.

If Trump can actually get this accomplished, it would be outstanding. Just get the peace treaty in place and end the war. THAT would be a huge first step.

The DMZ separating their countries is a bit different than how most countries share borders. :)

I spent 2 years in SK back in the 70's. Certainly didn't seem possible then. Even if the 2 countries' don't unite I do hope they at least have much improved relations. After all they are very much family.

Removing land mines is not symbolic. It is a life-or-death task.

    I agree

Removing land mines is a serious move that will make north korean infiltration much easier

But unless kim pulls his artillery back beyond range of south korea no real lessoning of the threat will have happened

Maybe you should tell that to the South Koreans who are giving Trump credit, but you already know that, don't you?

Removing those land mines is a two way street. It will make it safer for NK defectors to cross the border.

Yeah, you are so smart to have noticed that the leader of South Korea is either an ass-kissing lemming or a liar.

What I meant was the act of recovering an active mine is deadly. They are going to send people out to disarm and remove these indiscriminate killers because they are serious about ending the war. No question about it.

Not with modern mine-clearing equipment when you know where the mines are.

I absolutely agree with you regarding the removal of mines. The biggest threat to the removal of the mines is not knowing exactly where they are.

To be clear do you think NK would fire artillery guns if the suspected people were defecting south?

He wouldn't have to if both countries stayed separate.
