In the middle of Guatemala and southern Mexico, we have these caravans of people thinking that if some other place has something you want, you are entitled to it. Now, they have decided that they have the same constitutional rights as Americans, regardless of citizenship or nationality of their origin, because they plan to get here.

So.... they filed a class action suit against Trump and the government for violating their rights.
That would be- rights they don't have, but expect to steal by stepping one foot on American soil.

This kind of BS has been brought to you by the people on the left & liberal bents who create wacky interpretations of reality, who dismiss common sense and sound values. And, who want to control the nation....

The Constitution, except in clauses where it specifically states they only apply to US citizens, is a blanket restriction on the US government regardless of who the government is interacting with.

The scarevan will magically disappear after November 6. Until then, the stories will get more and more imaginative. Kids will have moved from throwing rocks to throwing hand grenades. The men will armed with AK-47's and the women with Molotov cocktails. The little girls will be fitted with suicide vests.

Meantime, a hundred more scarevans are forming to attack America with their diseases and violence. Trump will be prepared to order another division to secure the border bringing total troop strength to 40,000. Trumpets will applaud the moves and find some place to hide. Gun sales will soar.

This only further confirms that we are now living in a world that has collectively lost their minds! I would be very surprised of a judge doesn't dismiss this baseless law suit!

Who actually filed the suit? What standing do the plaintiffs have? When the fifth amendment says "no person… shall be ....... deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law" it is referring to the plaintiffs' or defendants' own life liberty and property, not my life liberty or property.

Actually, depending on which judge gets the case, standing might not have anything to do with it.

I might have missed your point, but the Constitution, by definition, is for US citizens only. There have been some adjudications where the law or judges have found that some parts of the Constitution should be applied in some non-citizen cases.

Its already been established that simply being on American soil doesn't automatically grant you Constitutional protection. This case has about as much merit as Trump's last minute political stunt promising retroactive removal of citizenship. Its almost like the right wingers and left wingers are trying to one up each other for who can come up with the case that is laughed out of court the most loudly.

The United Nations. Note how hands-off they are RE: this commie-instigated attempted invasion.

The US should pull all funding from the America/Israel-hating UN. yesterday.

$6 to $7 billion a year could buy lots of welfares for America's poor peeples

And you are probably right on every point.
The case lists 12 Honduran nationals (including 6 children) as plaintiffs. So far, we don't know who is behind it, and you know that this is not a migrant idea- the are just the pawns being used to create another political challenge. Constitutional rights do not exist for people who are not citizens or are not on US soil. Once an illegal crosses the Rio and gets one foot on our land, he is entitled to limited constitutional rights, primarily due process as determined for the deportation, and treatment in the interim.

When you are 1,000 miles away, not a citizen and planning of some kind of entry or request for asylum- I don't think you have any constitutional rights in the USA period.

While some are blowing this off as over-reaction, that too falls into the "How can we make more trouble" category. These people are coming en-masse, and their behavior so far looks clearly to be the kind of attitude we do not need more of in America.

One of the privileges we have is to limit the number of immigrants that can enter the USA. We are NOT the worlds refuge, catch-all, or receptacle for anyone who wants to come.
We are currently at an all time high in accepting immigrants; the situation is obviously working.

Just imagine- if these groups can just ignore our system and bully their way into the country... How many will be in the next group? IF they are not controlled or simply turned away- the next group will be 10 times bigger. and in not time at all "refugees" from all over the world will be coming to America like a rush to a gold strike. The time to stop this is right now. I agree with Trump's statement that he will close the borders if necessary.

What annoys me is we have rights found in the Constitution. Yet the left desires to remove those rights yet hand to illegals rights we enjoy. Strange bunch of non thinkers.
