Maybe Trump should ask the Australians how they do it ?

Didn't Trump claim they have Great Healthcare for all ?

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Health_care_in_Australia

Health care in Australia is delivered as a mixed system: universal health care (public) and private providers (insurance). The majority of Australia's health care is provided publicly (hospitals and primary health care eg General Practitioners) with the remaining provided by the private sector (private hospitals, allied health care such as physiotherapy and dental).

Medicare is Australia's universal health care system, which is the primary health scheme that subsidises most medical costs in Australia for all Australian citizens and permanent residents.

What are you talking about. Thats how insurance works in the private market. There would be no difference in how the government pays. Private insurance companies today set prices they will pay to providers for most procedures, and cares. They do negotiate, the same as medicare does today. Thats how insurance works today !!!!!

And lets be honest here. One of the main drivers of cost in healthcare today is private insurance. WHY, would you put a middle man in place who’s sole purpose is to make money on the transaction of paying for your care. You actually pay them, they pay the hospital, and they take a profit from that transaction. And FTR, United Healtcare PROFITS rose to 30% last quarter.

The Idea that healthcare will suffer becasue they wont make money is beyond fanstasy. I worked for the largest healthcare provider in my state, and I sat in the meetings with the insurance companies when they were negotiating contracts. Both sides made crap tons of money, while crying poor t the public. And while the company I worked for was publicly decrying medicare, and many other government healthcare plans, privately they were absolutly giddy about having them on board because they made so much money from those plans. I was there, I worked in it, and saw it firsthand !!!

NO it wasn’t. It was over and above what the GOVERNMENT pays today. Add in what Americans pay and it saves the economy money.

Ewwww....how embarrassed are you now ;)

Get rid of insurance companies. single payer pays for itself. Allow the Gov't to control hospital mergers that hijack rates and increase cost, etc.

Ummm, it still says what I claimed. We will still save money. Blahous basis his push back on the fact that "actual costs" would be higher. But his "actual costs" from providers is what they charge today, not what the procedures actually cost the provider. THATS the crux of the problem we have in healthcare today. Medicare for all actually controls costs, it doesn't just "pay providers". The entire study is based on what providors charge, not on actual costs to the provider.

The point is, you tried to use the Bernie Sanders argument, politifact says not true.

Now, generally if I had made a claim, and you had politifact saying not true, youd be literally screaming "WRONG!"

    So, you are wrong.

100 Kudos to Wyrd for correctly guessing Ocasio-Cortez would be elected. I grossly over estimated the IQ of New York voters.

    I don't think so actually.

    Quite the opposite.

It was written by, for and of the Wealthcare Industry.

It was a gift to them from a spineless, egotistical (but well-meaning) president as well a Congress completely owned by the kleptocracy.

    Sadly true.

    Sadly true.

What the kleptocracy wants, the politicians do.

What it does not want, the politicians do not do.

    Smoke & mirrors.
