    Oh. I see.

You considered the "Cold War" a World War?

    Thanks for the clarification.:salute:

Reckon you are a tad confused. I was referring to WW1. So...why did you enter that one?

And yet the data shows it is an obstacle to voting. Trifle with the data, if you like. In my opinion, an obstacle is an obstacle, as -- and i think you can puzzle this out for yourself, so I am about done answering your dishonest questions -- it involves more than the simple fee, in terms of getting one. If you want to know anything more about it, use your imagination. Or, better, look it up for yourself, you don't have to take my word for it.
Not where I live. It's an idea on the table, in my State. Republicans certainly nixed it, too, and I wager more often, State-wise. They did in my state.
And in the same breath (sentence, here), I mentioned that low income disproportionately affects minorities. You are just not being honest here, and it's very boring. zzzzzz

Do you have any points to make at all?

It’s weird to me that people wouldn’t want the most secure election as possible and yet are very concerned about foreign interfence in elections. We should probably fix our own “in house” issues before we attempt to fix foreign governments roles in our elections. As long as people’s rights aren’t breached I could care less if some people are using Id laws because they are racists. People need to have utmost faith in the election process.

You are the one that claimed that it was a know nothing temp that was doing the comparison. I am just questioning your ability to verify your information about the person doing the signature verification, which obviously you can't. It seems to be a non educated claim at this point. Just out of curiosity, have you ever worked at the county level in Arizona counting ballots?

Check then? Would you take one without a signature?

Why? Voter ID laws don't do much to secure anything. Propaganda, tossing out votes wholesale... that is much more effective a way to influence an election than is in-person voting fraud.. as in , by a factor of a million. It's, basically, a non-existent problem.

The tellers at banks are generally trained to accept a different signature than appears on the driver's license, as they are not expected to be legal handwriting experts. So you are kind of whiffing on that one.

Here is a quote from the "Maricopa COunty" website. It happens to be the same county that we are talking about with the signature problem where you don't think that signatures shouldn't matter.

    12. What happens when my early ballot is received?
When an early ballot is received through the mail, the unopened affidavit packet is scanned to acknowledge receipt and to capture the signature of the voter on the envelope.

The captured signature is used by trained staff to compare it to the signature we have on file from the given voter’s original registration form or forms.
If the signature matches, the ballot envelope is marked as a "Good Signature.”
All "Good Signature" affidavit packets are then sent to Citizen Boards who process these unopened packets to prepare them for tabulation. The Citizen Boards are made up of two board members of different political party affiliation. These Citizen Boards audit and ensure that the secrecy of the voter’s ballot is maintained.
If the packet is deemed to have a missing or non-matching signature, it is then sent for further review to a higher-level staff member who has been trained biannually in signature verification.
In the case of a missing signature, the unopened packet is sent back to the voter along with a letter explaining why it was returned and a postage paid envelope for the voter to send it back signed.

In the case of a non-matching signature, the voter is contacted by mail and/or by phone (if a phone number is listed on the voter’s record) to inform the voter that there are discrepancies with the signature we have on file in comparison to the one appearing on the ballot envelope
This process is done to safeguard the early voting process and protect the voter from possibly having had their ballot fraudulently misdirected and possibly voted and signed by someone other than the actual voter.

To review. The signature review isn't done by a bagger at King Soopers, a temp or a volunteer or some guy sleeping next to the dumpster in the alley. It is done by people trained staff at two levels. Does that answer your concerns?

to review, the signature verification is done by a republican or a democrat, and they may have a bias - this is the hanging chad all over again

so between votes denied, republican cleaning the voter rolls right before the election .. Florida has done it again

Been there done that (in Florida and Ohio) as both a volunteer at the polls and a paid temp. In the first instance I was under age and in violation of election law, in the second I was a HS graduate with no training or experience (other than my day of training and day at the polls.)

When you're paying people minimum wage for a 1 day gig you can't be too choosy.

Have you never ever voted in person? Surely the lack of training and expertise in the election workers must have been obvious even to you. Let us take, for example, Adrian Fontes, the Recorder for Maricopa County. A lawyer with no election experience. WHAAAAAAAATTTTTT?

Florida has been hosed for decades and they keep reelecting Snipes, a Democrat, regardless of how bad or how often she hoses things up.

We are talking about the person that verifies signatures so I hope you are talking the same subject. To that subject:

I already posted it once but cut and paste it rather than have you hunt through the previous posts.

Such laws have serious consequences. In January, a study published in the Journal of Politics found that during a general election, the turnout gaps between white and ethnic minority voters are far higher in states where people must show ID during or after voting.

The report’s authors found that in states that don’t have this criteria, there is a 4.9 percent gap between Latino and white voter turnout. In states that do require ID, this leaps to 13.2 percent. Among black voters, the gap in turnout rises from 2.9 percent to 5.1 percent; among Asians, the gap increases from 6.5 percent to 11.5 percent.

These disparities are particularly bad for Democrats. In the 2016 presidential election, 88 percent of black voters cast their ballots for the Democratic candidate, Hillary Clinton. She also took 79 percent of Asian-American and Pacific Islander votes and 66 percent of Hispanic votes. Clinton also performed better among low-income voters than her rival, President Donald Trump.

If it didn't work the Pubs wouldn't spend so much time and money doing it.

That's quite an empty accusation given your dreadfully biased and inaccurate claims.

Blind to facts and reality? Care to comment on Broward County or what the Dems in Arizona tried to do until the court got involved? After all, you claimed "And in every case they are REPUBLICAN election boards run by REPUBLICANS."

I'm certainly ready to discuss it. Are you?

We dont know if they are real and valid

All ballots are required by law to beturned 45 minutes after the polls clase

    Thats the law

We can speculate about whether Snipes is didhonest or stupid

But either way those new ballots should be theown out

    More empty claims from you.

Your trolling is a poor replacement for facts. It's fascinating you think it could be.

If the Arizona hating Progressive wins, so be it, that's the will of the voters. Of course, the fact that Dems want to suppress and disenfranchise voters while trying to secure that victory simply underscores the overall integrity of the party and it's followers.
