He's a citizen, because his father is a citizen. "Full stop" lol

Per your source from Harvard...his father (Donald Trump, your Leader), is a US citizen. That makes Barron an automatic US citizen.

Was there a reason you are now arguing against your own source?

per my own source, Barron would be a US citizen even if he was born in another country.

That's correct. Because his father is a US citizen. Thank you...

The amendment clearly state "All persons born." It doesn't say anything about slave. Somebody screwed the pooch when writing this law.

No one screwed the pooch. It was meant to set the definition for acquiring citizenship as some court rulings had bastardized everything to support slavery and other bigotry.

Non sequitur, as a misdemeanor is every bit as illegal as a crime. The point is, no one on Our soil without Our consent is subject to US jurisdiction for 14A purposes.
Dunno where you get that idea, but the word didn't mean anything different then than it does now. The separability of naturalization from immigration was made manifest by the inability of Congress to do a damn thing about immigration (other than charging $10 a head) from ratification until 1808, whereas they passed at least two naturalization acts during that time.
Yes they are, like everyone else on US soil.
They're under US jurisdiction nevertheless, because they're here at Our pleasure, and can be ejected on a whim, and because their diplomatic immunity is a creation of US jurisdiction.

After the midterm elections Trump stopped uttering this nonsense.

He was only playing to his base.

He won a couple of Senate seats.

But he lost the entire House Of Representatives.

    Great "victory" yah!

so you think illegal aliens should be able to pop citizens out simply for successfully evading our law enforcement and violating our national sovereignty?

Are Melania's parents naturalized citizens? Did Melania get her citizenship before she married the Donald? Or did she get it by marriage? Just curious.

    And another ....

dear lord, how about talking about WHY you don't think the 14th should be closed people?

Sitting here and shouting out virtue signals or trying to say how your argument is morally superior is getting old and means nothing.

False, the OP asks if Trump successfully closes the 14th Amendment loophole. My response strongly implies he has NO constitutional authority to do any such thing. So it’s perfectly on topic.

Sure. Some historians claim the 14th Amendment was illegally ratified. It is a double edged sword. While it purports to protect equal rights for everyone (a protection that already exists via the 5th, 9th and 10th Amendments), it also makes all citizens SUBJECT to the federal government. So IMO the 14th Amendment has no place in a Constitutional Republic.

This is also fallacious. It isn’t about superior morality, it’s about the rule of law, American ideology as espoused by our founding document and about constitutional authority.

If you don't like what it says in the U.S. Constitution there is a mechanism provided within it that allows for amendment.

You learned that in the 8th Grade right ?!

Or did you go to public schools ?!

I do not believe in amending the Constitution for any reason. But they often have.

And I do not believe in the SCOTUS ignoring the Constitution for any reason.
