It's being called the third wave of the women's movement. It's loud, lewd, rude and fraudulent. You men might feel you have to keep your mouth shut, but as a woman I can say the Leftist "women's movement" has set us back about a century.

A century ago, repressed women were given to "hysteria" (look up the root of that word - it's interesting). Today, women have little reason to be repressed, yet their behavior indicates they are - at least those angry women on the Left.

The Left dredged up a handful of mentally ill and hysterical women to accuse Kavenaugh of being a gang rapist. The very trust women have fought for - to be believed when they accused a man who violated her, vanished within 24 hours of the perpetration of that Democrat Party fraud. Now women who come forward with an honest accusation will be "assumed" to be like those who accused Kavenaugh.

Democrats didn't know or care if the accusations were true and have been silent ever since Munro-Leighton, the woman who supposedly wrote the Jane Doe letter accusing Kavenaugh of rape, admitted she lied. Most people believe the Dems knew from the start that it was all a lie, and they were willing to put the Judge, his wife and daughters, and indeed all of us through the wrenching weeks of one vile accusation after another -- just to win.

If the Dems were sincerely duped, they should be outraged. If the media was duped, they should be outraged. Those lies set women back a century on the issue of being taken seriously on their complaints regarding sexual assault.

The media thought this was so important that they devoted 24/7 news cycles to ugly descriptions of gang rape and the destruction of a man's life. Why isn't the fact that it is a lie consume them equally?

The dems KNEW they were lying, they didn't care about anyone then and they still don't.
They completely threw the legitimate women's movement under the bus.

There is a legitimate woman's fight for respect, to be heard and not marginalized, and to be assessed by her intelligence and skills. Everything the Left has worked for has gone counter to that fight. They push the women out in front like human shields to lie for them, so of course they are marginalized. They don't flinch when a woman is called the "c" word. They judge everyone by their looks and their hubris, not by their intelligence and skills, and they wear hats depicting women's genitalia and parade around half-dressed Barbie Dolls while complaining of objectification.

The Left is woman's worst enemy.

By whom? Who will be disregarding women's complaints regarding sexual assault going forward?

#MeToo is a very legitimate movement that has been long in coming. The Kavvy mess was simply an extreme version of this being forced into the light. The OP sounds very bitter about something and likely it is a partisan reaction to realities taking place, "she" certainly has that right but this is less a Left vs. Right issue and more a matter of mutual respect. None of the women I know have any issues with calling men out when they grab her ass at work or take liberties uninvited.

Your Leftist friends play a stupid game. Send out liar after liar, whore after whore, then blame everyone for putting them on "ignore". That doesn't help women one bit.

Please don't try to speak for people you don't know - it's nothing but projection.
I don't know where your "friends" work, but that kind of ass-grabbing doesn't happen any more. A man would be frog-marched right out the door if he did so much as have a pin-up in his office, let alone act out on a female coworker.

Women have always had the right of defense, except of course in liberal strong-holds. There was a case in California where a Hispanic woman was gang raped. She went home, grabbed a gun and returned and shot the rapist. I said, "YAY", but California courts called it a crime and locked her away. This is not a new issue. Any woman who is attractive has received unwanted advances. Part of being a woman is the ability to judge when it has gone too far. In the Kavanaugh accusation, the woman wasn't raped. Many of us think she's a kook and a liar because even if it DID happen as she said, there's nothing there to carry around for 30 years and be all neurotic about.

Before you start trying to think for women, and project your personal opinions on us, remember that mostly all women share similar memories. When the majority of us say "that's hooey!" you better respect it. Or listen to your esteemed senator from Hawaii.

Ellison got elected didn't he. Then there's this..........

Former New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman won't face criminal charges

Schneiderman, who resigned hours after it was reported that he had sexually abused four women, won't be criminally charged, prosecutors said.

The Care and consideration by the left is breathtaking.

Reminds me of the riotous protesters (which, by the way, included Obama's old friend, Bill Ayers) at the 1968 Democrat convention who chanted as they marched toward the police line, "Chicks up front!"

I don't see an answer in your reply. Who will be disregarding women's assertions of sexual or physical assault?

Did you? He admitted to it and went to rehab, how does that relieve him of criminal assault? What am I missing?

It is weird, you know, first you claim Dems don't care about health care and then now, how Dems are throwing women under the bus. You must not have been paying attention, but heathcare and women's issues are what propelled the Democratic Party to its victories, this last Tuesday.

There is a very strong female presence within the Democratic Party. College educated women are like twice as likely to vote Democratic. The Republican Party seems to have become the party of the uneducated. Apparently the uneducated are more pliable.

This is what you are missing:

"I believe the women who shared their experiences with our investigation team," Singas said in a statement obtained by WNBC-TV. "However, legal impediments, including statutes of limitations, preclude criminal prosecution."

You mean women who have to work hard and live day to day why would they vote for a party who is radical, hates religion. promotes deviancy as normal and makes their men look like monsters if the Democrats can't reach the huddled masses there is a disconnect and a big one.

Superb post. It seems, however, you might be under the mistaken impression that either the Democrats or the MSM actually give a damn about women in general. Democrats support women -- or any other balkanized group -- only as long as they can be used to enhance Democrat political power. The media cares about women only so long they can write and broadcast stuff about them that the public will pay to read.

Cry "wolf!" and there is no wolf to be found, then it's a hell of a lot harder to get hunters into the bush the second time "wolf!" is cried out.

I agree. It's much like the way that the Left SHRIEKED "Racist!" for eight years every time Obama got himself into trouble and received legitimate criticism as a result. Their endless and politically gratuitous false cries of "Wolf!" got so pervasive that people began tuning them out when perhaps something actually was racist somewhere. People got to where they first looked to see if the SHRIEK was somehow of political advantage to the Left first.

Same thing with the #metoo movement and the way in which the Dem Party and their leftist allied media have politicized it. Thanks to the deliberate reputation rape of Kavanaugh FOR strictly political reasons now when a woman cries out people may just look first at the Left to see how it might be of political benefit for them instead.

I'm not even sure what argument you are trying to make. I asked a simple question - Who will be disregarding women's complaints regarding sexual assault going forward? If you have a direct answer for that, great.
