The Neoconservative movement began with in the liberal base of the Democratic party during the 1960's.

When the radical left (New Left) hijacked the Democratic party during the 1970's the liberals of the neoconservatives movement fled the Democratic party.

Since the neocons were big time anti communist, the neocons were welcomed under the GOP tent.

Reagan surrounded himself with neocons but the conservative base remained in control of the GOP until the late 1990's when the neocons gained control of the GOP.

The neocons lost control of the GOP some time around 2006 or so and nobody has been in control of the GOP since.

The radical left (New Left) who has hid behind both the liberal and progressive labels since the early 1970's are still incontrol of the Democratic party as they reveal their true identity by keeping moving further to the left.

 

Who are FAC’s just with a fancy name.

In the Marine Corps FAC's are Forward Air Controllers.

They are usually naval aviators, Marine fighter jocks. Today when a FAC is on the ground embedded with the grunts it's FAC (g) or when in the air just FAC.

FAC's will control or call in Close Air Support, naval gunfire support or artillery support.

Before the Gulf War only a Marine FAC was allowed to direct a close air support mission using Marine or naval aircraft. If there was no FAC available the company CO/XO or Platoon Leader (Lt.) would be walked through the procedure by the FCC.

Joint Tactical Air Controllers (JTAC) are either Marine or Air Force enlisted men who are trained on calling in and controlling a Close Air Support missions but are not pilots and not as familiar what an aircraft can and can not do and may or not know how pilots talk and the lingo used.

A pilot providing close air support prefers talking to another pilot on the ground.

Most enlisted Marines serving with ANGLICO (Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company) are highly qualified on spotting naval gunfire, artillery support and close air support missions.

When I was in-country (69-70) I served with Sub Unit One 1st ANGLICO.

 

Schools use to be about academics not agendas. Now all they put out is 3nd grade education, lies, perversion and hate.
Most college grads today couldn't pass a third grade test given in the 1950s. It was done and proven just how dumbed down and ignorant these poor kids are now.

The A-1 can stay on target longer and 4 X 20 mm cannons are the weapon of choice for strafing mission.

.50 cal MG's or 20 mm cannons are the choice for strafing.
The A-10 30mm chaingun is over kill and not the best weapon for area targets.

The A-1 has a really long loiter time over the battlefield.

FYI:
A-1 Skyraiders have shot down Mig fighter in air to air combat. No A-10 has accomplished that.

We provide what should be more than adequate funding for our military. Could it be that the military has been totally mismanaged by politicians/generals/admirals? I find it bizarre that we have a huge navy intended to fight a two ocean war that will never happen but yet in the early stages of the W. Bush war in Iraq we lacked armor upgrade for Humvees. The reality seems to be that the driver for military spending is the military industrial complex.

 

Obama did a lot better than Bush with respect to the military. Bush got about 4500 soldiers killed and 32,000 maimed fighting a war intended to show his daddy he was a tough guy.
