This is another thread intended to inflame and divide. OP should be banned. Likely paid by Russia.

Anyone who has the merit should get the job. Put a bag on everyone's head if you have to.

A brilliant observation, one which I've often thought about myself. The only thing I'd add is that women are (to use the expression again) hard-wired to be compassionate, when censure or opprobrium are warranted. In other words, they're inherently liberal. Extreme liberalism is happening in all countries of the western world right now (think 'Refugees are welcome here.'?), and global Islam is taking full advantage of it.

Do you have anything worthwhile to say on the topic? You know, something thought-provoking??

Looks as if VoxEphemeral and I are out of step here. But that's okay by me - I'm used to it, as is VoxEphemeral probably. I like being different - it's what keeps me in a state of equanimity - in the sense of 'When all about are losing their heads, I'll be keeping mine.' (sounds like someone who's escaped Madame Guillotine? lol)

Women in leadership is just a symptom of the larger issue: feminization of the culture. As culture gets more and more "civilized", for lack of a better word, it also becomes more and more feminized. This has happened throughout history, by the way. It isn't always accompanied by women in leadership or women getting the right to vote (citizen voting is pretty rare in itself, historically speaking), but it is accompanied by weak men and strong women, the rise of homosexuality and transsexuality, the flowering of the arts versus the focus on military strength, and a general retrenchment of the society in the face of growing unrest from the barbarians without. This is always followed by either a complete collapse of that civilization to the barbarians or the rise of a military leader to the fore in response to a crisis, who then takes all or nearly all power into his own hands. Sometimes both occur, if the society is too weak to resist the barbarians even under the leadership of a totalitarian.

This mindset seems a bit outdated as we currently live in a brand new type of civilization. The onset of technology and the information age have created a new twist to societal interaction and the rise of equality as well which will obviously have females in a position of rising equality, some unfortunately see this as an attack on males rather than an equilibrium shift.

Outdated or not, it's certainly relevant, and the the proof is there for all to see - especially in Sweden.

Of course, what you say is a factor........however, the research clearly shows that women in general are more likely to be softer in response and less likely to do violence or make political decisions that result in armed conflict.

Far from a poor stereotype......it's a scientific fact.

Bottom line........leaders who are women may fail in key situations where quick and violent action is a necessity.

Far from being sexist garbage......it is scientific fact.

No, the point is that she was an exception rather than a "true woman"........murderous women are few and far between.......murderous men are numerous and all men more likely to do violence than the average woman.

This is not my opinion, nor is it stereotyping or sexism......it's just scientific fact--and you are on the wrong side of the facts.

    The reasons may surprise you.

    Quite true.

It is essential that people in the U.S. become more aware of this dynamic.

    Before it's too late.

The convoy of barbarians IS at the gates.

You confirm my opinion that you are one of the exceptions.

We're not out of step........it's just that the explosion of angst and anger you get from some people prevents most people from speaking the truth about this issue.

But these things must be spoken and discussed.......to save America.

It was a response to show the OP that women could pull a trigger if needed.

Oh so you don't have the stones to not put someone you disagree with ignore, but it's women that lack the fortitude to lead? That's funny,

Yes, but it gives the slavering misogynists a place to vent their abject FEAR of women....

    Al Wilson agrees with me........

    The Snake
    Al Wilson
On her way to work one morning
Down the path along side the lake
A tender hearted woman saw a poor half frozen snake
His pretty colored skin had been all frosted with the dew
"Poor thing," she cried, "I'll take you in and I'll take care of you"
    "Take me in tender woman
Take me in, for heaven's sake
Take me in, tender woman," sighed the snake

She wrapped him up all cozy in a comforter of silk
And laid him by her fireside with some honey and some milk
She hurried home from work that night and soon as she arrived
She found that pretty snake she'd taken to had been revived
    "Take me in, tender woman
Take me in, for heaven's sake
Take me in, tender woman," sighed the snake

She clutched him to her bosom, "You're so beautiful," she cried
"But if I hadn't brought you in by now you might have died"
She stroked his pretty skin again and kissed and held him tight
Instead of saying thanks, the snake gave her a vicious bite
    "Take me in, tender woman
Take me in, for heaven's sake
Take me in, tender woman," sighed the snake
"I saved you," cried the woman
"And you've bitten me, but why?
You know your bite is poisonous and now I'm going to die"
"Oh shut up, silly woman," said the reptile with a grin
"You knew damn well I was a snake before you took me in

    "Take me in, tender woman
Take me in, for heaven's sake
Take me in, tender woman," sighed the snake

Listen to the words you are using throughout this thread. "Less likely" "More likely." This does not suggest wiring at all because it suggests decision making. Someone wired to be a certain way can't change without significant intervention.

The term "wired" just means someone is more likely to decide in a certain way.

It does not mean they ALWAYS respond in a certain way........just that they have a tendency to respond in that way in general.

Men are more likely to respond with violence than women and that's why they are better leaders in situations where violence is required.

It's not at all controversial or in question......it's common scientific knowledge.

Read the link again more carefully. http://rstb.royalsocietypublishing.org/content/367/1589/670
