Good on CNN. This administration deserves to be fact checked - sometimes to the face of Donald Trump directly - if we are going to hold them accountable. Many on twitter applauded CNN's decision.

 

Also, reading this quote from Sarah Huckabee Sanders cost me about a billion brain cells.

"We’d like to see something that is more data driven. It’s based on modeling, which is extremely hard to do when you’re talking about the climate.”

Climate modeling IS hard! That's why the outcomes range from "Disasterous" to "Total human extinction". I mean that's a REALLY wide range.

I'm not even convinced this is a purposeful lie. I think they're just ignorant of scientific processes and they want to know how bad the wildfires and hurricanes would be if we didn't have global warming.

That's what I think they mean by "data driven", they want some scientist to tell them "oh the wildfires would have been 30% less bad if the earth was 0.5 degrees cooler" which is utter nonsense to anyone who understands how climate works but to your average anti-science republican it's hard for them to imagine a relationship that isn't a fixed ratio cause and effect like that.

And finding climate scientists who challenge the findings is doing a real disservice to the science because the current split of climate scientists who agree with the basic tenets of climate change and those who disagree is a roughly 98-2 split. So if you want to present "both sides," you should trout out two scientists on one side and 98 on the other side.

If the definition of a lie means you're can't prove it or is someone's opinion you disagree with, then many reports about the impact of climate change are also lies, since most have been overly vague, or completely off and inaccurate. But scientists are allowed to be completely wrong, can't they? Since scientific theory can be changed at the drop of a hat, being wrong is literally part of the job. You're allowed to be wrong so that someone else can prove or change your theory later on.

Climate IS changing. YES, we impact it. Can we alone do ANYTHING to change it? We don't know. China is doing more damage now and will continue to increase the damage they do until what....2030 or whatever arbitrary demand the UN "asked" them to attempt to accomplish?

 

Then the report should have been reported by CNN during the climate change report news conference not during a White House news briefing.

 

Setting aside the fact that they dropped the report at 2pm on Black Friday...

The White House news briefing - when the Press Secretary is explicitly discussing the Climate Change report - is a perfect time to discuss the climate change report.

Fact checking is nothing but a prop used by the three ring circus that masquerades as news outlets. Take the far left Soro's funded/supported PolitiFact as an example.

Fact checking is subjective, as CNN and other such laughable ventures prove all the time. Something meant to add credibility, or in the case of the frauds at CNN, to help support their Hate Trump 24/7 objective. However, when checked, the bias raises to the surface.

As to climate science, when the newly rich climate scientists eliminated the Scientific Method in pursuit of more research dollars, and worse, attacked and sought to destroy any scientists who challenged them, it became very clear what was going on.

Add to that evidence was the objective of Maurice Strong, the Father of Global Warming, spoke of at the first climate conference in Rio in 1992.

Latest report is mandated by law created in 1992. That legislation requires a report no less than every 4 years. It isn't a report the Trump Administration commissioned, although that is what the frauds in the media are implying.

 

On Sunday morning or since CNN has been exposed being in collusion with the DNC, do it on one of CNN bias commentary shows.
