It doesn't say it, and like I have pointed out previously, prior to the passage of the GCA of '68 children could walk into a hardware store with their own money and buy guns... and there weren't school shootings back when kids were taught how to responsibly co-exist with guns from an early age. I support kids being properly introduced to responsible gun ownership by their parents and raised accordingly. It works, it keeps kids safer, teaches them responsibility, and creates a safer society. Your sarcasm doesn't change that truth one bit.
We got it. You are fine with preschoolers having guns at the playground. You were crystal clear. Thanks
Can you explain why you believe that's in line with liberty? Nope. Unlike you, I don't believe genocide, mass murder, and slavery are good things.
You want to deny preschoolers the liberty to carry guns? Will you use the power of the state to enforce that? Authoritarian!!!!!!!
The longer this thread goes on the more it’s clear to me there is some confusion on the differing roles the state, the States, individuals, and parents ought to play in our society
It's a ban on whatever constitutes an infringement. Is gun control an infringement? Not necessarily. In fact, substantial regulation is necessary to protect the right.
all federal gun control is an infringement-an idea that was pretty well accepted by just about everyone until FDR decided to pander with his 1934 NFA and they played games to get a complacent Supreme Court to pretend that the second amendment could be worked around. What was really interesting is that even the lapdogs on the USSC in 1939 didn't want to argue why the 1934 NFA didn't violate the TENTH amendment-so they engaged in a dishonest avoidance of that issue
his claim reminds me of the Orwellian garbage we heard from the LBJ administration when I was a kid-the USA had to Destroy a village of Vietnamese to "Save it"
Uh no, federal law trumps state law. Are you suggesting that states can invade your house without a warrant? Besides, the NRA’s lawsuit after Katrina resolved that confiscations were unconstitutional. Do states get away with infringements? Yes, but any law that prevents a citizen from keeping and bearing arms, is unconstitutional.
I need a good laugh: cite the part of US v Miller where the supreme court holds that the federal government had the proper power to engage in the 1934 NFA
not relevant-the 1939 Miller case was before that ruling. cite where the lapdog justices actually tried to justify the power of the federal government making that law.
The bill of rights was intended to apply to the general government. Each of the states already had their own bills of rights.
where do you come up with this nonsense. I fully support laws that punish someone for using a firearm in a harmful reckless or in a manner that facilitates other felonies.
Then can the talk about freedom.....you want limits as much as anyone else. Your shackles give you freedom....right?
