Hey! Speaking of street musicians, I saw this guy performing live in Kiev when I visited. Even bought one of his CDs!

    It's called a bandura. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bandura

A bandura (Ukrainian: банду́ра) is a Ukrainian, plucked string, folk instrument. It combines elements of the zither and lute and, up until the 1940s, was also often referred to by the term kobza. Early instruments (c. 1700) had 5 to 12 strings and similar to the lute. In the 20th century, the number of strings increased initially to 31 strings (1926), 56 strings - 68 strings on modern 'concert' instruments (1954).

Yes, I've just seen your Sewer postings. The Psycho often finds fascination with stories of suffering and torture, from what I have seen. Probably something to do with psychos being unable to process emotions the way normal folk do.

I can only be as specific as "Kiev." It was somewhere in Kiev  The setting in that video looks like the same spot where I saw him, though. Also can't be too far from the square where we were staying for those few days, as once we were there, we got around purely on foot.

Listening almost exclusively to Mamamoo these days, but I remembered Bad Religion did an anti-alt-right song and video that turned out to sound and look more like a recruitment video for the alt-right, la:

Dude - Are you familiar with Roman Hrynkiv?

He's the finest bandura player I've ever heard:

I first heard him on Al Di Meola's Winter Nights - it's a fantastic album:

If you like what you hear it's still available at Amazon:

Is that an affiliate link? :p

No, I hadn't heard of him before. Haven't looked into bandurists at all, but I liked what I heard live.
