    It's trumps shut down.

But not getting paid in the meantime is a hardship for those affected. Banks don't give a **** if you aren't working. They want their mortage payments. Gas stations don't give a **** if you aren't working. They want money for their gas. Utility companies don't give a **** if you aren't working. They want their utility payments.

Trump owns this shut down, 100%. That's from his own mouth.

Like I said... you call it blame, I call it credit. All furloughed workers qualify for unemp*, so why wouldnt they be able to pay for food and fuel?

*must repay when backpay kicks in.

because those payments don't come after you click submit on your application for them. Trump is harming American citizens with his temper tantrum, and he needs to end it. The majority of americans are against him. Congress is against him. Which is why he wasn't able to get his wall, when the GOP had complete control of congress and the white house.

    Pretty much a whiner.
More opportunity than ever before available right now, and you don't have to be rich to start. But you DO have to bring some qualities to the table- ambition, determination, dedication, the ability to manage and things like that. Opportunity is everywhere- Hell, we have young people becoming millionaires by making videos of them acting stupid, and putting them on social media which pays them per view out of ad revenue. No business smarts even needed.

As a person with long business experience, I can say that people today are poorer buyers than ever before- they waste money before they budget and wonder why they don't have more. All those BS marketing calls? They keep coming because enough of them work that it's profitable to insult the intelligence of all of us. We get perhaps15-20 every day. Rachel at cardholder services has probably called us 500 times in the last two years. They ARE finding plenty of suckers out there. When you think your problems are caused by others and you can't or do anything about them, you have made yourself helpless.

I know a many millionaires and a couple billionaires, but none who had it handed to them. I don't complain about how much they make; instead I ask them how they were able to do it. If you don't start by insulting them, most of them will be happy to tell you their secrets, free.

Fed employees could file for unemp on the first day of the shutdown... weeks before they missed a paycheck. And just so you know... the majority doesnt always rule in this country. Isnt that a liberal mantra?

    Hilarious- but sadly true!
I've seen people with so much ink on them that they could have become rich with the same money if they were prudent investors.... but were flat broke.

Fact is, more than any other element in life- we are the ones who determine our own destiny. Usually it's not trying and failing, it's failing to try that makes the difference.

The government can only govern, with the consent and will of those they govern.

Ending the shutdown without funding the wall would be admitting that illegal aliens and the cartels are more important to appease than federal workers or Americans on food stamps.

I got paid once a month. Sometimes when my sales weren't good, I made less than $200 a week. I went a couple of months in a row back in '09 during the downturn making less than that. There are millions that get laid off every year, I don't understand what the big deal is. they can open a claim and get unemployment

And that is why when Trump invited them to a white house lunch to negotiate a solution, not of the dems showed up. It's obviously his fault.
Of course, most of these people, due to the long pay window, have only missed ONE check. The government has promised full back pay. Banks are adjusting requirements to compensate for government employees affected. All kinds of sympathetic efforts are in place.

WHAT have the dems done? Nada. Zip, Zero- Oh, wait; that's not right. I forgot, they have turned it into another circus to use as a way to blame Trump for everything. Masters of Obstruction and deception..... feeding bovine excrement to the hungry underlings who can't see past their propaganda. I don't think they get points for that.

Steel workers are predominantly native born American citizens.

If the wall were to be built with lumber, Democrats would be all for the wall since illegal aliens would be doing most of the work.

Wannabe undocumented Democrats have also be known to carry books of matches with them.

he agrees with you. It's his fault.
    ok?
there is a bill currently waiting to be voted on in the senate, that republicans refuse to allow to be brought to the floor for a vote, which reopens government.

Democrats are refusing to attend meetings. Exactly how do you excuse their refusal to even show up?

I misunderstood the lack of brain cells in the American voter with regards to Trump.

Oh well. In 2 years we all have a chance to correct this big ass mistake. LOL

The Coast Guard is the homeless branch of the federal government.

They have been under the Department of the Treasury, Department of Transportation, under the Department of the Navy during WW ll and the Vietnam War and today under the Department of Homeland Security.

Since the U.S. Coast Guard is the chief maritime law enforcement agency of the federal government, why not under the Department of Justice ?

How about those that are working but don't get paid. They technically still have a job, so how can they file for unemployment?

My thoughts are your post is full of ridiculous hyperbole, and not really worthy of any serious consideration. And just because its working out okay for YOU, doesnt mean it is for others. But this is typical conservative thinking. "I got mine, screw everyone else"

It is considered a temporary layoff, like if your factory had a fire. You still have a job, you just cant go to work.
