If people who hired them were fined severely, you wouldn’t even have to deport the next group that came by looking for work. They would not . It’s cheaper and more effective to put a sign out front, “no illegals need apply.” If an employer needs immigrant labor, he applies to immigration for legals.

“Someone else will pay for it” and “impenetrable” that’s what we heard for three years from Trump. Now we are saying he lied ? Of course he did. It’s now time to negotiate in good fate after the govt. is opened.

Because I live in Texas and I've seen it first hand. Walls work, period. An example of ignorance is when liberals say walls don't work because they only work 99% of the time.

Where do you live? In a sanctuary behind a gated entrance?

Typical all or nothing mentality. I said, they don’t always work. Of course they work when they’re being monitored, that’s where they are.

In areas where they aren’t, they’re much easier to defeat. We live in the deep woods. Our security is like anyone around here, lack of access. You need a 4 wd to get here, you don’t need a fence or a wall. If you did have a fence, it’s more easily defeated then in town because it’s NOT Easily MONITORED. Especially, Near the border here. .

This seems to be concept that your neighbors seem to argree with me more then you. The majority of Texans on the border towns don’t want or need more then strategic fencing, which Dems have always supported. The original “ impenetrable” is BS. They can all be defeated with a visit to the hardware store. And, they don’t want to give up their land. They want, more towers and patrol agents more so.

I ignore what politicians say and pay attention to what they do. Nobody is dealing with the backward laws causing the problem. The swamp reigns supreme.

You missed my point. I want to change the laws. If illegals set foot on U.S. soil they should be escorted immediately to the other side of the wall. If they persist, they should be arrested and jailed. Our laws have caused the problem. Fixing it with walls is hard. Fixing it with better laws is easy.

Trump has a history of incompetence so bad, he’s had to resort to Russian syndicate financing. He’s done nothing other then keep out of jail and stay one step ahead if the IRS.

A blanket statement by you, but every bit of what I’ve said is true. He’s the guy at the end if the bar who thinks he’s gods gift to enlightenment but is dumber then dirt. That he grovels after Putin while degrading valued institutions from the fbi to nato doesn’t seem to bother Trump Humpers. .

Why not punish the ilegal aliens for their crimes?

Sure you can punish the employer if he KNOWINGLY hired an illegal

But if the aliens are using fake ids all the blame is on them and the democrats in congress

And if the employer did know then punish him too

And oh by the way, a lot of those employers will be hispanics themselves

This isn’t like selling a gun to a felon when your not required to register your buyer. You can’t get away that easily. They should know. EVERY employer is required to register and collect taxes from their regular employees. They obviously aren’t. They should be. Contract work is the responsibility of the sub contractor. If a contracted crew comes up, you ask to see the foreman who must be carrying the green cards or a signed affidavit. Employers are not ICE and they aren’t law enforcement. Of course ICE should be spot checking and making arrests, but the front line if defense is the hiring party.

The employer is guilty of payroll tax fraud if he hires a citizen and does not register and collect taxes from him. Why should we expect less if he hires an illegal. It’s not rocket science. It’s not hard to check and report a bogus SS number.

It is not that difficult to create false ID papers. I heard of one case where I a man bought a phony SS card and used that to get a drivers license and then turned around and used the drivers license to get a valid SS card.

    Many illegals give false SSNs

As I keep saying, if the emplyer knows the sorker an illegal they are both guilty

And in many cases that will be a hispanic employers

But the illegal and his entire family should be arrested and deported

And they should leave America with nothing but the clothes on their backs

    Many employers do not know

If the illegal uses a false ssn the blame is theirs entirely

This will check most if they bother. Many don't , they would be required to pay minimum wage.

I made a New Years Resolution on January first. I vowed not to respond to stupid comments. I broke the resolution on January 2nd when I found out that nearly all liberal comments were stupid.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) asked Trump on Wednesday to delay his State of the Union address set for Jan. 29 until after the government reopens.

There is a good reason for this. With the exception of a designated survivor, our entire federal government will be in attendance, the President, vice-president, his senior advisors including the cabinet, the entire Congress, the entire list of Presidential succession, members of the Supreme Court, and a whole bunch of other folks. Like I said, the entire federal government.

And they will be guarded by people who haven't seen a paycheck in four weeks and have no idea when they will get one. That says a great deal about their motivation and their performance level. Would you like to be guarded by someone who is worried about his next house payment or maybe even buying groceries so the family can eat?

"I will never ever back down" from efforts to keep America safe, Trump vowed. Well, now, that's encouraging for those guarding the members of our government.

    Or not.
