The investigation into Trump started before he became President. The Strzok/Page emails prove that and that no one thought he would win but if he did they had an insurance policy. This was the insurance policy and Comey actively participated by leaking to the press after Trump won. Comey fired may be the excuse but it isn't the whole story.

He did? it looked just like a load of angry spew to me.

He did nothing but project and try to argue about what "foreign adversary" means, as though I'm obligated to use some sort of mysterious term of art instead of the English language to make a point.

It was a waste of everybody's time to read that nonsense.

The Stroz/Page emails are irrelevant and did not affect their jobs. Happens all the time as new people are elected. A nothing.
It wouldn't surprise me that there is more to the story that is unfavorable to Trump. The FBI is the government that investigates wrongdoing by unethical people and Trump may have had interaction with the FBI in his other life. Comey was fired for the reasons given. If he had given Trump what he asked for, there would have been no firing.

So, making payments to people is "a textbook violation of campaign finance laws?" Surely you can't be serious. Also, you're not actually saying that there is PROOF of collusion are you?

Did not affect their jobs? They got fire because of them.

Making payments to people in order to effect the election is a textbook violation.

You understand that it's not my job to educate you or ethersmell (do any of you trumpers know how to do internet research at all?), but you're both desperately in need of it, I'll do it just this once:

    https://www.ajc.com/news/national/m...n-finance-laws-broken/vdDCRDwLbT6wkgXamENVpI/

It's not "guess work", it's not "speculation" (like when you clowns make assumptions about what Mueller has evidence of). This is the law, and this is how it is applied.

The Trump campaign met with Russians to obtain "dirt" on Hillary Clinton. In return, they listened to a load of garbage about the Magnitsky Act that Dumb, Jr. tried to characterize as a discussion about "Russian adoption".

Manafort provided demographic data to the Russian government which it then used to assist Trump in getting elected. That sounds like "collusion" to me. If it doesn't sound like collusion to you, then you're willfully delusional.

"Uh, duuhr! You're speculating! No evidence! Waaaaahhh!!!!" isn't much of a response, nor is it rational.

I wonder about that, how much damage did they do? Honestly I don't think they made that much difference although if anyone has any poll on the subject?

Untrue, the Steele dossier seems to have been inaccurate, created by those with an anti-Trump bias and paid for by the DNC. The anti-Trump bias from the FBI seems to have been rampant, negating any possibility that Trump will ever be found guilty of 'obstruction of justice' as Bill Clinton was over Comey etc.
    There is no criminal aspect, this isn't Nixon and the Saturday night massacre. With all the stuff Comey did Trump has every right to fire him, To whit;
Launching an inquiry on Trump based on a folder paid for by the DNC, assembled by a man with blatant anti-Trump bias and containing many exaggerations if not plain inaccuracies.
Deciding for himself to shut down the Hilary emails investigation without ever referring it to the Grand Jury or DOJ, an unprecedented move. Especially as Hilary had constantly changed her account and deleted thousands of emails which she had been ordered to surrender (maybe it's not Trump who obstructed justice?). Employing senior agents on the case with blatant anti-Trump bias and Senior Director McCabe whose wife was standing as a DNC candidate backed financially by the Clintons, never recused himself and Comey never forced him to until the scandal broke AFTER the decision was made to end the investigation. Furthermore computer records show that Comey actually drafted the letter closing the investigation BEFORE Hilary had been interviewed.
Never actually pursuing any charges over the whole Uranium One affair, despite plentiful evidence to do so, Congress forced the investigation upon them.
Trump had EVERY right to fire Comey.

I always wonder about that reported conversation, it has been construed as him demanding dogged loyalty but was Trump actually just asking was Comey out to get him or leaking to the press? The answer was yes in both questions.

Would you say the same if they'd said the same about Hilary?

Interesting that it's gone from there being no contact with Russians, to there being innocent contact with no "collusion", to "collusion is not a crime" to "collusion is acceptable"

Affect, not effect. Guess it's my job to educate you (and they wonder why the 'deplorables' voted for Trump when Dems have this sort of condescending attitude?). You have to show that the payments were specific and exclusive to the campaign. For instance, a candidate has plastic surgery to make himself more attractive to the electorate? That is only a declarable campaign finance expense if you can prove they wouldn't have had it anyway.
Also you have to look at the precedent, John Edwards paid off his mistress and love child with his campaign finances, Bill Clinton gave Paula Jones $850,000 in shut-up money and got Monica a lucrative job at the Pentagon prior to the 96 election?

Yes. It's exactly like getting plastic surgery!

    Jesus.

John Edwards was charged with a crime, and tried the case. Bill Clinton settled Jones' lawsuit against him--that's not a campaign law violation, my incapable of drawing analogies amigo.

They got fired because Trump wanted them out. They could still do their jobs and not like Trump. After all, Trump said that the government employees who were furloughed because of the shutdown were all Democrats.

How do we know? We will probably never know what, if any, damage the use of unprotected cell phones did.

Trump didn't fire them. They were fired by cause based on the IG report. Try to keep up.

Yes it is, it improves his image?

Yes you are correct on Edwards, not guilty on one count, hung jury on the others. So if in that clear cut case they couldn't even get a verdict...? Shouldn't Bill have declared it a campaign finance expense if he was doing it to help Hilary?
Besides, you should remember that Barack had campaign finance violations of $2million and only got a $350,000 fine?

Hillary Clinton Gave 20 Percent of United States' Uranium to Russia

Hilary had no responsibility in the Uranium 1 fiasco and was another of Trump's fabrications.

The Steele dossier has not been disproven. I would not be surprised if it was accurate as described in the memos by Steele.
Again, Comey was fired for the reasons given and Trump admitted to firing Comey, because of the Russian investigation, to Lester Holt in a TV interview.

They got fired because Trump was whining and meowing and wanted them out, the IG report notwithstanding. I am very aware of Trump's antics.

How do you know that Trump directed Cohen to make the payments "in order to effect the election?"

Who has said that it is "guess work" and "speculation" that Cohen is guilty?

How is this any different to the Hillary campaign meeting with a British operative to obtain dirt on Trump?

Are you saying that it was successful in assisting Trump in getting elected?
