WASHINGTON — Speaker Nancy Pelosi of California postponed an official trip to Europe and Afghanistan due to security concerns on Friday after President Trump grounded her military flight and divulged the itinerary, and White House officials leaked a secret plan for her and the lawmakers accompanying her to fly commercially.

“In light of the grave threats caused by the president’s action, the delegation has decided to postpone the trip so as not to further endanger our troops and security personnel, or the other travelers on the flights,” Drew Hammill, Ms. Pelosi’s deputy chief of staff, said in a statement.

The Dem's have tried to fund a re-opening of the government numerous times. It isn't their fault if Trump and McConnell refuse to separate the debate over the wall from the shutdown.

 

The Trump admin leaked the itinerary. If you have proof to the contrary then post it.

Trump wrote Nancy a nice letter today. Among other things, it said, "Due to the Shutdown, I am sorry to inform you that your trip to Brussels, Egypt, and Afghanistan has been postponed. In light of the 800,000 great American workers not receiving pay, I am sure you would agree that postponing this public relations event is totally appropriate."

It was a typically childish move on the part of Trump, but there are two highly significant factors related to this infantile gesture.

It is significant that Trump thinks that the leaders of our government visiting the troops in Indian territory is a "public relations event." For a President to think that illustrates how far from reality Trump is, almost as if he came from another planet. It is no wonder Putin is pleased with his protégé.

It is conceivable that the Congressional leaders could still visit the troops using commercial aviation. But that is no longer possible. Why? The President of the United States disclosed the destination of this highly secret visit to a hostile region.

By the way, Trump has never visited this hostile region.

Putin is, indeed, very pleased.

If you don’t more and more people are going to figure out we don’t need all this government anyway.

Stop advocating for funding unconstitutional government while advocating against constitutionally mandated spending on national security.

Once again, since it is eluding you, an itinerary ceases to be an itinerary at the very instant a trip is cancelled. No one cancelling a trip is revealing ANY itinerary because that itinerary NO... LONGER... EXISTS.

Could they have sucked it up and created a similar trip to similar places on their own dime? Of course, but that trip's itinerary would be... get ready for it... that trip's itinerary and not the prior trip's itinerary.
