RABBIS PROTEST OMAR APPOINTMENT TO FOREIGN RELATIONS

Nancy Pelosi has appointed Ilhan Omar to the House Foreign Relations Committee, notwithstanding Omar’s vicious hostility toward Israel, one of America’s key strategic partners, and her anti-Semitism. Among other things, Omar is a supporter of the “BDS” movement that seeks to delegitimize Israel as an independent nation. Today the Coalition for Jewish Values, which represents more than 1,000 rabbis on issues of public policy, delivered a letter to grounded Pelosi, asking her to rescind her appointment of Omar to Foreign Relations.

Excerpts:

We write to express our alarm, dismay and outrage at your elevation of Freshman Representative Ilhan Omar to the House Foreign Affairs Committee. This decision runs contrary to the values of tolerance and equality to which the Democrat Party and your office have always been committed.

In 2012, as Israel defended itself against an expressly genocidal army which fired thousands of missiles at civilians, Ilhan Omar declared: “Israel has hypnotized the world, may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel.”

According to the United States State Department, “applying double standards by requiring of it a behavior not expected or demanded of any other democratic nation” is anti-Semitic, as is “justifying the killing or harming of Jews” and “making mendacious, dehumanizing, demonizing, or stereotypical allegations about Jews.” Rep. Omar has done all three.

The Republican Party responded to comments attributed to Representative Steve King by stripping him of all committee assignments – although he disavowed those remarks, insisted they did not represent his views, and voted in favor of House Resolution 41 condemning white nationalism and white supremacy.

The Democrat National Committee similarly, and to its credit, pulled its sponsorship from the Women’s March after co-leader Tamika Mallory refused to condemn the anti-Semitic statements of Louis Farrakhan.

Now, you have responded to the anti-Semitic statements of Representative Omar by providing her a seat on the Foreign Affairs Committee, from which a House Member with such noxious views of Jewish self-defense can do maximal damage to the special US-Israel relationship and the ongoing fight of the civilized world against terrorism.

We urge you to immediately rescind this ill-considered appointment.

It's OK for her not to respect the Jewish religion and those that support Israel? She's a HATER and should not be allowed access to classified information concerning Middle East affairs.
And they worry about who might have leaked the Pelosi Commercial plane itinerary to the press ? I say look no farther than the House Foreign Relations Committee.

Relations with people of color is not made better by putting a Grand Wizard of the KKK on a committee that has to deal with relations. Congress needs a dog catcher committee to stuff with Grand Wizards…the new Democratic Party is too stupid to see it.

Both the PLO and Hamas charters are all about ethnic cleansing, both in a deep spiritual way, as the first called for the ethnic cleansing before the 67 borders.

And fund their campaigns. There are several groups that Dems continually kick in the teeth that remain their most loyal constituents. But hell, look at how the GOP Establishment treated the GOP Base from Reagan to Trump. For nearly 30 years we provided the energy, the passion, the foot soldiers and look at how many of the guys we supported who turned in never-Trumpers and either voted for McMuffin or even worse, directly for Hillary.

To "teach us a lesson" they were willing to let Hillary reconstitute the Warren Majority by picking Scalia's replacement. It's hard to imagine a more vile betrayal.

AFAIK, Jews don't hate on LGBT type people. They welcome all walks of people to be who they are. And D's typically fall in that category.

That is it, in a nutshell.
We have this policy, because of religious belief. A country that is supposedly secular. Obama had the correct policy, IMO, towards Israel. Leave the religious part out and then deal with them like every other country in the world.

BTW - I grew up and was told we had to support Israel for the very same reason. Jesus and the 2nd coming.
I now realize how brainwashed I was.
