Taxes particular to alcohol are paid. Its traceable like any flow of money is.

 

Just because Pot is not legal does not mean that legitimate stats cannot be collected. In fact they have been collected and are quite legitimate.

 

The barcode does not identify where the alcohol was sold and by whom

 

"it might be sold to children" is a completely nonsensical argument against pot legalization. For one it is a violation of the rule of law - one person is not to be punished for the actions of another.

Why should an adult be punished (denied essential liberty) because some child gets a hold of a joint ?

 

Pot = tobacco = cancer

 

H2O = water = one could drown. Did you have a point beyond stating the obvious ?

 

That among other dangers pot can cause cancer

 

Cheeseburgers can cause heart attacks

No. But it is helpful in several diseases. Actually it does make you hungry and helps lots if people on chemo with their appetite

I think pot should remain illegal for many different reasons

All of which the pro potties reject

I look at it this way

We have to eat ,

but blowing our brains out with THC is optional

 

Or if not optional only a necessity for those trying to escape reality

So you are against national healthcare to benifit the citizens and are also against allowing people to ingest an herb because you are against national healthcare. Do you not see the circular logic there?

Alcohol, cigarettes and pharmaceuticals send more people to the hospital in a month than marijuana does in a year. And the death rates of each vs marijuana are staggering.
