Trump is very confused when it comes to his border wall

Amazing. How does this workout when the president you’re voting for is fighting you in court. This could be the year that Texas turns blue, all because of Trump’s wall.

I'm amused by the diehard TrumpBots who are unable to come to grips with the fact that Republicans, in control of both houses of Congress, stiffed their divinity for two years on his "big, beautiful wall" that he repeatedly promised Mexico would pay for.

They mewl that Republicans didn't have the requisite 60 votes, so it would have been futile for the Republican-controlled House to have brought a funding bill to the floor (despite House Republicans having staged empty show votes against the ACA over 50 times.)

Of course the same barrier pertains. If the Democratically-controlled House suddenly lost their marbles and voted for the $5.7 billion boondoggle that Republican-control for 2 years didn't give Trump for his wall that most Americans do not want, Turtle still doesn't have his 60 votes in the Senate.

 

With every border Representative whose constituents fear having their land seized by Trump's jack-booted federal bureaucrats (who may be in an especially ugly mood because Trump was proud not to pay them) there is going to be a heap of people speaking truth to power appassionato.

 

Typical over the years that red states find good reason to hate federal Govt incompetence . It seems to happen during gop administrations. The self fulfilling prophecy of incompetent federal Govt. is alive and well with Trump’s swamp this time around. Not one campaign promise is for the long term good of any of his constituents.

 

From, I am not always right to, I’m not wrong that much. Good one. No one lies in their own mind..even Trump. But just repeating someone else lies, does not excuse anyone from being a liar.
Anyone who supports Trump, puts themselves in a position of being a habitual liar...just like he is.

 

You need to give people credit. As a person, I do not like Trump and wish he would shut up. However, I do agree with a lot of what he is trying to do. That does not make me a liar. It makes me a realist by dealing with the situation as it is rather than as I would like it to be

A liar sir is when you say something that you know is wrong. So many people don't seem to understand that. No one has ever caught me in a lie. I have, a very few times been caught using information that I thought was true and someone has pointed out to me that that information is no longer valid or just plain wrong. I have given my opinion some times and been proven wrong, but everyone knew it was an opinion, I was not stating fact with nothing to back it up. I do try and back up what I say. I try and be honest as I can so that when I do say something people will know I'm not just shooting off my mouth. But people need to learn the difference in a person being wrong and a person just plain lying. I do try and have something to back up what I say is fact and have something to show why I have the opinion that I do. I don't just shoot off my mouth to disagree with a person or win an argument. I have no problem admitting I'm wrong when I am. But I support Trump in a lot of things he does, and I sir, am no liar.

 

It’s not magic being a competent leader. You surround yourself with the best minds in the areas you have to deal with. The President’s Cabinet defines nearly all of the positions he has to deal with. All these people in every positon need to be science based relative to the task at hand. They aren’t. The generals he hired, by definiton, are science based. That’s what the military is all about. Few could stay very long. Trump needs to be based in science to make informed decisions. Otherwise, he’s just shucking and jiving and lying becomes the norm. If you support the first non science person we have ever had, you support a liar. He then coops his supporters and they have to support positions based upon lies.

 

Wonder if anyone remembers Carter firing his whole cabinet?

 

Lets talk about this science thing. I am sure your talking about the world getting hotter. I agree with you. But I don't completely agree on the reasons why. Just because I am a Trump supporter, doesn't mean I agree on everything he says and does. Here is my view on global warming. I have said it before. Agree or not, this is how I feel.



No doubt it's getting a little hotter. But is it natural or man made? We know the earth goes through climate change. Nine thousand years ago, we had a big climate change. The polar caps melted and dug out our Great Lakes and the melting filled them with fresh water that we have today. I think it's good that we cut down on the human foot print that could be a contributor to global warming. But if it's also a natural trend there is nothing we can do to stop it. So lets do our part to cut our contribution, but not go so crazy that we do away with hundreds of thousands, or millions of vital jobs we need. Just because we may disagree on the cause, doesn't mean we aren't continuing the fight against it. We are still building solar homes, electric cars, even working on electric airplanes. We are still building wind generators and nuclear power plants. So let's not panic. As a matter of fact, I just read last week that the automakers are working on making all their cars electric.

All science is not about climate change. It’s a way of getting to the most correct decisions in every disapline .
Every degree, whether in law, economics and the regular sciences, is defined by the word science, the science of law degree is one of the highest attainable. Courses in the military leadership are referred to as military science.
Scientific method is a way priboem solving in ANY area, it’s not about natural sciences alone . The best economic decisions made, are based in science. The best law decisions made, are based upon science. Trials in a court room are exercises in which each side can give the best arguments based upon the scientific method,

Trump is an empty suit, and like all his followers, everything is an opinion.....we can’t survive with leaders basing devious on opinions. The military, NASA, and every cabinet position decisions should be based in science, not opinions.

 

Well it seems when it came to the economy and how to deal with it, many of the experts were wrong. I would say down through the years a great many of them were wrong, or we wouldn't have made such stupid trades pacts as we did. We wouldn't have let countries screw us like we did. We lost a lot of industries we once dominated. Not because they built a better mouse trap then we did, but because we allowed them to shut us out or gave them a big advantage over us. Trump saw this and knew we couldn't let it continue and be a first class nation. The experts disagreed with him, but it seems he was right and he went about fixing it against their advise.

 

Lets talk about the military. What experts did Obama have around him to make him believe we could take out Assad and the Russians and Iran would sit back and do nothing to stop us? Syria is their biggest Middle East Allie, just what made Obama and Hillary think we could just back the opposition and get away with it and add another of their Allies to our camp.

 

Your statements show a lack of understanding what science is. Science is a discipline that reveals the best decisions through institutions. As soon as you start talking about one of expert disagreeing with another, you’ve left the world of science.

This is it. Trump supporters are science deniers and are more likely to be wrong in most decisions then one who is a science advocate . Look up the phrase “ scientific method “

Has anyone made a clean decision in any military area ? No. The reason is simple.....it takes years and hindsite to determine the best long range decisions ever made. Look up the “ scientific method”

 

Well science doesn't always agree. Some don't believe the world is getting hotter. Many agree it is, but give different reasons why. What science are you going to rely on? Science says that trees can absorb a lot of the pollution in the air that causes the air to heat up. Why aren't we having a massive tree planting around the world along with cutting back our human foot print?

You are mired in details because you only know a little bit of organic science you may had read. Science is institutional and there are places to go for ligit answers to all your questions. They are the institutions that specialize in the science of your choice.
Did you look up the “scientific method “, for the third time ?
Or, are you just interested in fact less arguing.
I’ve yet to find a Trump Supporter whose interested in science.
Therefore, you’re just interested in being wrong.

Science says you should not separate kids from their parents if they are not in an abusive situation.

That is the problem with a non-scientist trying to pretend he is a scientist. He thinks he can spout a big a number and that big number by itself proves something.

It demonstrates how reduculous it is to plant more trees to mitigate global warming. We don’t have political access to places where those plowing up fields are located. That’s why each country has to do its part...
Non scientist are welcome to use science as a reference. Trump doesn’t...because he’s too ignorant. His followers don’t, because they’d be wrong most all of the time...And you could have read the entire post with this quote...nah, that’s not scientific.

 

The whole process is so incredibly complicated that trying to capture it with football fields as a reference is meaningless.

 

It’s the way scientists makes large or small values more understandable.
Or course, you being the expert might understand scientific notation but the rest if we novice appreciate it. .
