That kid didn't do anything wrong. He was just standing there while some idiot banged a drum in his face. If anyone deserved to get their ass kicked, it was the guy with the drum.

It's actually a complicated story. Here's the basics.

1. Catholic kids show up for a peaceful rally.
2. Black nationalists who are also present begin hurling all manner of hateful and bigoted slurs at the Catholic kids.
3. The older man, who was also present as part of a separate rally, observes the situation and ASSUMES that the Catholic kids are the instigators. He bases his assumption on nothing more than the skin color of the people involved. In other words, the older man is a RACIST.
4. The older man moves in between the two groups in order to "protect" the aggressors from their victims.
5. The older man begins banging on a drum in some kid's face.
6. The kid is understandably confused. He stands there not knowing what to do. He smiles awkwardly.
7. The Catholic kids disperse.

So, as usual, the media and the deranged Trump-hating mob have, once again, completely misrepresented reality.

The older man approached the Catholic kids, not the other way around.

The guy deserved to be mocked. He is the one who approached the kids, not the other way around. And he approached them based on his own faulty assumptions.

If you watch the entire two-hour video you would see the students are actually the victims of racism. And the reason why these kids are in the news is because they refused to atone for the crime of being white.
