They are civilized, it's just not the type of civilization we usually associate with the word. All the barbarity is culturally condoned or a part of their accepted system.

Women in modern nations have it easy due to men making it easy for women and protecting them, and men still do the dirty, dangerous and disgusting jobs which women don't want to do and no feminist seems to want to eliminate the disproportions of in genders doing those jobs.
Purely out of curiosity are you married or otherwise in a relationship with a woman? And if so is that woman a member of this Board? I only ask because in my experience life itself can be 'dirty, dangerous and disgusting' at times and IMO the only way to get through those times is if you are fortunate enough have people who love you covering your back, while you also cover theirs. Family can and will do it when you are young - if you are lucky and of course sometimes also even later in life. But trust me when I say the following; There will come a time in your life, either personally or professionally where (again if you are lucky) you need someone to be there for you. And their gender won't matter a dam. The word 'partnership' springs to mind.

Today i had to fix a womans sink, she could not afford to pay a man (plumber) to fix it. Its been full, backed to filth for about a week apparantly. I found out and offered to fix it for her. About 5 min and its as a as good new, draininly like a beute. Without a man to help like many women she would have been wallowing in her own filth.
Apparently not enough to fix things when they go wrong. Haha could you imagine if all the men vanished. The world would be full of leaky roofs, broken down cars and nothing that breaks ever getting fixed.
I don't think people care about it. Many people were born long after women had equality so they don't know of a time before so to suggest they are unhappy by the only status they ever knew is rather absurd.
Mind control is a powerful thing. And I suspect, early on in human history, man used the larger physical stature as control also. It's why religions are so powerful.
