More accurate to ask "did I".

For 30 years I owned a company that manufactured food packaging, and then after selling, I owned a company that manufactured emergency power equipment.

    I'm semi-retired now.

Obama is a public sector welfare baby who had no experience in the private sector

He knew nothing about middle class jobs

The economy is not great. It is better then the crap America was dealt with the recession.

Remember no matter if it was going to be Obama or McCain the sh!t had already hit the fan. America knew

I don't understand why we have to go over this each month. Is it that you all did not live through it?

What are you trying to prove with your chart Ron? Your chart shows that in 8 Obama couldn't even get it back to where it was when he became President? He never ever had a 2 year swing like Trump. Trump has finally gotten manufacturing back to above pre Obama stage. I promise you many appreciate it

Food packaging. That's a good idea.
Emergency power equipment. Custom or retail?
    Are they still going?

    I did computer peripherals.
Technology has made most of the early stuff I built obsolete.
All the PC stuff was offshore in the 2000's, but designed and tested here. That's still the same.

And that Trump's election would be an immediate economic disaster.

Trump only has two more years to get ahead of Obama's curve.
And no he has not gotten it back anywhere close to where it was. And he won't.
If I were to pick a week in Obama's tenure that had a steeper rise than Trump would you let me do it? You righties always want to cherry pick a time to compare. I guess Trump taught you that.

Well, their growth in the Federal Debt is similar, but Trump's GDP growth is 70% stronger.

No. We use Trump's entire presidency and compare it to Obama's nearest performance of the same length of time, Silly!

I have no doubt we can innovate. The biggest challenge is keeping it a secret and not having the intellectual property stolen.

    Manufacturing Job Loss

The United States lost 5 million manufacturing jobs between January 2000 and December 2014. There is a widespread misperception that rapid productivity growth is the primary cause of continuing manufacturing job losses over the past 15 years.

Specifically, between 2000 and 2007, growing trade deficits in manufactured goods led to the loss of 3.6 million manufacturing jobs in that period. Between 2007 and 2009, the massive collapse in overall U.S. output hit manufacturing particularly hard (real manufacturing output fell 10.3 percent between 2007 and 2009). This collapse was followed by the slowest recovery in domestic manufacturing output in more than 60 years. Reasonably strong GDP growth over the past five years has not been sufficient to counter these trends; only about 900,000 of the 2.3 million manufacturing jobs lost during the Great Recession have been recovered. In addition, resurgence of the U.S. trade deficit in manufactured goods since 2009 has hurt the recovery of manufacturing output and employment.

In short, the collapse in demand during the Great Recession and ensuing glacial recovery was responsible for most or all of the 1.4 million net manufacturing jobs lost between 2007 and 2014. Between 2007 and 2014, productivity growth slowed noticeably, and manufacturing output experienced no net, real growth.

Only for one quarter. Obama had a few good quarters as well. Trump's GDP is still less than Carter's, Reagan's, and Clinton's. And Trump had the advantage of an improving economy rather than the recession Obama walked into on his first day.

Obama wrote off those who work in manufacturing.

    Trump brought those jobs back.

no he gets credit for the 96 consecutive months of job growth under his administration. He gets credit for digging the economy out of the deep deep hole he began with.

Trump get's credit for increased manufacturing jobs. course he's a couple hundred thousand short of obama's last to year in total jobs created, tho.

But keep searching for them winning nuggets. They are becoming harder and harder to find.

Lots of wafting, waffling, hot air to add to the climate horrors now unfolding and mostly emanating from the red cap states.
