I don't blame a community not wanting government low income housing "in their back yard" because it can raise crime, decimate schools, and bring the quality of life down. I've seen what section 8 housing can do to a neighborhood.

What I don't understand is why so few new homes ..market priced...are being built when there is such a need.

 

Yet its the 5th largest economy IN THE WORLD, balanced the budget after Repub mishandeling, is America's breadbasket and has a fast growing economy. Maybe go outside and visit the world before posting?

the medicare fraud team (federal side) does not investigate individual fraud, they pass that onto the states themselves, some states that are sanctuaries overlook that fraud because it'd go against their sanctuary theme... does anyone think that they'd keep records of that?, of course not, but they are the 'police' for individual fraud and all they need to do is not persue it...

If you saw human feces on the sidewalks in California then you must have been vacationing or visiting homeless relatives on Skidrow [LA] or the Tenderloin district in San Francisco. Otherwise you are completely lying. I'll go 'toe-to-toe' with anyone from Texas if you want to compare where you live and where I live. Like most people who don't pick Texas as a vacation spot, my visits were business-related trips that including Houston/ Dallas/ San Antonio [I liked the Riverwalk a lot]. I've driven US 40 through the Texas panhandle several times. Should we start with Amarillo and compare it to any city in California?

Since joining this forum I've noticed how desperate and deceitful many Republicans are because they hate what they can't have to cover petty envy and being the butt of endless jokes. Actually California pays more to federal taxes that many smaller Red States. Meaning CA is covering the

The city where I used to live was named the best place to live in America a couple years ago. It's a suburb of Dallas.

You can get a 3,000 square foot home with 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, 2 car garage, and a swimming pool for about $300,000. No crime. No pollution. No gangs. No urban problems. I doubt California has many places like that.

 

What Ca overpays in federal taxes goes to help small Red States in dept....

Bakersfield/ Barstow are areas where people move to live more affordably. Huntington Beach is expensive like any coastal city in California.

Dallas just passed Philadelphia to become the fourth largest metro area. In 15 or 20 years, it will pass Chicago to become the third largest. It's the least congested metro area in the world because it keeps expanding out.

 

Actually, Texas gets a steady stream of ex-Californians. There was a thread that mentioned how upset people in Idaho view California immigrants/ buying up real estate/ arrogance/ raising prices. The irony is that most of these invaders were Republicans from California per voting data.
