Chicago police confirmed Thursday that detectives are talking to two persons of interest in connection with the alleged attack on "Empire" actor Jussie Smollett.

Multiple sources have told ABC7 Eyewitness News that police are investigating whether Smollett and the two men staged the attack allegedly because Smollett was being written off of "Empire."

And just watched the Robbin Roberts interview and wanted to puke listing this little racist jerk, where it's clear rather than being an objective journalist she bought his story hook line and sinker before the investigation was completed. I wonder what she has to say now and why she didn't pressure him on the veracity of his story and the gaps in it.

I have just GOT to watch Good Morning America tomorrow morning in fact will set it to record. They have egg all OVER their faces with there interview they did and where rather than question him on his story and the huge gaps they fell for it hook line and sinker based on their own prejudice and gave him an empathetic interview and treatment.

The more I sit her the more p***** of I get about it. Just watch that interview and to watch this lying racist is just too much and this hear these supposed objective journalist.

They have 2 choices.

1) Scrub the interview completely.

2) Run it and call out Smollett based on the new info.

 

The people that live in that area should be HIGHLY pissed off and run him out. Businesses in the area who may have lost some customers because they believe white racist are roaming the area.

I just wonder if all the black groups will publicly condemn him because he certainly has done their cause no good and just confirms that false accusations against whites DO OCCUR and are not rare.

 

I mean, honestly, youd have to be pretty biased to ever believe this was true.

They've already run the interview in two parts on the morning show and in one 30 minute section on 20/20. All about how horrible it is for black men because white men attack them.

I wonder if ABC will post some public comment about how they ASSUMED his story was true, did not investigate it at all, and did not question him in the least on it's veracity. They should apologize to the public for presenting it as a true account without a shred of evidence to support it.

It one thing to report something saying we have not verified this, this is simply what one person is telling our reporters and that turns out false. They presented this guy and this alleged incident as truthful and proven so he could tell this false tale about a black man being attacked by white men. And they just assumed it was true.

 

False accusations (and false police reports are filed all the time).
By all sexes, races, creeds, sexual orientations, etc.

But, the narrative that Smollett was trying to create was particularly egregious (given the current political climate).

 

ABC MUST update the narrative in a very abject way.
