You feel it is constitutional because it is your guy and his agenda. You would not feel it was constutional if it were not your guy and was not your agenda.

Fact is... the word “emergency” is open to interpretation. Usually an emergency has some sort of rather abrupt beginning and some sort of immediately alarming impacts that require urgent action... or an action that is outside the existing legal framework. None of previous emergencies have been used to circumvent normal constutionally mandated congressional funding processes.

It is amazing to me that several forum members have pointed out that previous presidents have used these emergency powers... but these posters are either unaware, or chose to disregard the issues being addressed in those previous declarations.... namely the fact that NONE of those previous declarations were used to circumvent cogresses constitutionally mandated role in making funding decisions
