Isn't declaring a national emergency the same as declaring martial law?

Ann Coulter slams Trump’s national emergency as way to appease his ‘stupidest voters’

    https://www.rawstory.com/2019/02/an...ional-emergency-way-appease-stupidest-voters/

Right-wing pundit Ann Coulter slammed the President on Twitter in response to a tweet by Daniel Horowitz, senior editor at the Conservative Review.

“The goal of a national emergency is to end illegal immigration and cartel smuggling,” wrote Daniel Horowitz. “Building 100-200 miles of fencing gradually will not do it. With this new amnesty, they UACs will come anywhere including points of entry and not only get amnesty for themselves but for those here.”

Why do you place the welfare of non citizens above the welfare of US citizens and border patrol agents.

Whatever the reason, the fact remains that the narcos can pass bricks of heroin through the gaps. It requires no effort whatsoever.

Coming to think of it, it would be even easier to see to the other side, if there was no wall at all.

Who cares what Ann Coulter says. Hilarious that you would use her as a reference BTW.

Tell me more about how Carter should have frozen the assets before the coup happened.

    It's a perfect analogy.

Overthrowing a legitimate government and expecting access to their bank accounts is clearly not a bad analogy, because that's exactly what the US did with the Shah's assets.

Emotion circuitry is still on short-circuit I see.

Tell me who is responsible to make sure you pay your bills and save money.

    I'll wait.

How can you save money when your wages don’t keep up with inflation and rents are higher than anytime in history?

So, you have no authority for your proposition.

Just admit it. You made it up, because it aligns with your desire to criticize Obama.

Maybe China can invade Europe and we'll make sure to keep those assets open for them too.

    Brilliant idea.

I know, let's create a savings fund for Maduro.

    It's called "budgeting".

It's related to economics, so I know it's hard for the left to understand.

And lots of Americans are budgeting rent, utilities, food, and gas over student loans and car payments.

But I guess in your world they would live on the street and not eat so that banks can get their money.

Self evident? When did it become self evident?
And exactly what is the nature of the emergency?

Doesn't seem like Congress is very interested in the border wall.

The Senate voted 83-16 on a bill that didn't include funding for Trump's wall.
Others are arguing that Trump has the authority to do as he pleases, but I argue that authority hinges on a vote...

And, as it turns out, he admits that he "didn't need to do this" (that "nashul 'merginsey stuff") , he just wanted to get it done quicker.

Not only has Trump just "kneecapped his own case for a national emergency", but as far as George Conway is concerned:

"I didn't need to do this" should be the first sentence of the first paragraph of every complaint filed this afternoon." [IMG]

It's really hilarious watching you Trumpians twist yourself into pretzels as apologists for the 300 pound orange man baby.

    There you go again.

I'll just take your lack of any authority as an admission that you flat out made up your claims.

Sure. And still get a new cell phone every 6 months.

You're responsible for your bills, the debt you incur, and living within your means.

It is not the government's job or responsibility to take care of you.

In fact, a new report from CreditLoan.com shows that nearly 1-in-4 Americans knows they are spending their paychecks in irresponsible ways at least some of the time.

That's not what I asked. A 50 foot wall? - a catapult that can toss over 51 feet will be used
