Well that can't have been easy to write.

However I hope this is a learning opportunity, rather than just jumping on the next hoax that comes down the pipe, apply a little critical thinking. Particularly if a story seems too good to be true... and let's face it, this story had every element that you wanted to hear.

 

Lest we all remember that random attacks do occur in this country and this particular example is not the norm.

Y'know, one of the things I like about this board, besides the diversity of political thought, is the fact that the vast majority of us will admit it when we're wrong. Okay, there's a couple in this thread that won't - and oddly enough they're not that respected either - but as for the rest of us, we can respect each other despite the fact that we wildly disagree on any number of things. And had I been wrong, I would have admitted so - I know I've done it before. As I said earlier, it's not as if I walked on water today.

Yeah, I am questioning that "warning". That story seems to have been forgotten among the twists and turns of the day, so we don't know if that was actually sent to him by some deranged individual which prompted a light bulb going on over his head or if he had it made up as a precursor to this attack all along so he could say "I told you so!" Even IF it really happened I seriously doubt anyone is gonna believe him at this point. I know I won't.

The thing about Michael Vick - He may have made a comeback of sorts, but everyone remembers what he did, and he's never gonna recover from that. And Smollett - same thing. We might see him around again in a few years, but he's always gonna be remembered as the Great Hoaxer.

About two months ago a black child was killed, it was claimed that a white man did it... the progressive reaction was predictable... media outlets ran with it... then surprise, it wasn't a white guy.

People don't learn, another incident is just over the horizon, wait for it... it will be the same old song and dance.

 

I think there are a mountain of issues that people should wait for more information on before jumping to conclusions on this board. This is just one of the many. I also think that a lot of people that complain the loudest about racism don't want to actually solve the problem of racism.
