So now straight from one of the conspirators lips we find there was a palace coup planned, and aided abetted by he FBI and the Dept of Justice. Time for the arrests to begin.

This sounds like straight up treason.

Some heads are going to roll if any of this is true.

I know this has been mentioned in other threads, but to hammer this point home:

Without Pence being on board with the idea, it was a Complete non-starter.

There is ZERO Chance that Pence would've ever gone along with it.

So the whole 25th Amendment discussion is a Moot Point.

    Section 4
. Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.

How does the 25th work then? Either you get the VP and a majority of the cabinet or the vote fails and everyone who voted yes goes to prison?

Discussing ways to oust a duly elected president (otherwise know as a coup) by the top law enforcement people in the land dosn't come within a billion miles of hero.

has America ever been the hero?

Vladdy Daddy is big on Donny`s soul if you haven`t noticed

Trump trusts Putin`s intelligence more than his own governments?

And the general public is supposed to be ok with that?

Trump is toast.. He has not said McCabe is a lying scumbag yet has he?

How are you going to arrest people for wanting to follow the Constitution?

Where is the media on this story? Imagine if that discussion had taken place when Obama was president? The media would have been calling for a criminal trial. It was nothing short of a coup discussion by a group of arrogant idiots. I also say some of the media was complicit.

Nowhere does the constitution even hint that it is OK for federal law enforcement to discuss and engineer a coup to oust the president. If you would have asked the framers that question they would have assumed that you lost all your marbles. The 25th amendment is designed for the removal of a incapacitated president. Incapacitated means physiologically unable to preform his duties, like in a comma. It does not substitute for impeachment. Neither the 25th or impeachment are included and can be used just because many dislike the president or his politics.

The 25th amendment removal involves only Congress, the Vice President, and the cabinet members -- nobody else: no generals, no newspaper editors, and, with absolute certainty, no FBI Director.

Where does the 25th Amendment state that no one is allowed to discuss using it except for Congress, the Vice President, and cabinet members?

Are you saying that thoughtcrime exists in Trump's America?

Also, where does the 25th Amendment define "incapacitated"?

    "Trump us toast"

This is one of the most NPC comments I have ever seen.

In a thread about someone trying to throw a coup against Trump, you say "Trump is toast"

Hahahahaha, you may as well use the words "Drumpf" and "Trumpsters" just to let everyone know

And this all based on something that we now know is 100% an unprovable lie.

I said it two years ago and it seems more true now than ever, this investigation is going to make Progressives look horrible

Anybody is free to discuss about anything they choose. I can discuss with my neighbor how easy I think it is to rob a bank. No problem. But if I start drawing maps and laying out times and schedules that is conspiracy to commit a crime. That is what McCabe, Rosenstein, et al were doing. Carrying out actual planning discussions of the 25th amendment is initially the sole prerogative of the VP and the cabinet.

"...... unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office....." means incapacitated. Don't be coy.

Except robbing a bank is a crime. Following the Constitution is not. Where does the 25th Amendment state that no one is allowed to discuss using it except for Congress, the Vice President, and cabinet members?

No crime was committed. Time to go on to a different story. McCabe made up some stuff to sell a book.
