Hate is certainly not one sided, but most of the the violent hate now is coming from the bipartisan political class that hates the populist Trump for beating them.

Establishment Republicans with TDS, like Bill Kristal, Kasich, Flake, Corker ... seem less focused on beating, beheading, and shooting their opposition than their Democrat comrades. Maybe the Democrats are just more open about expressing their true feelings.

    Nor the RP donor class.
And likely the same donor class donates to both parties.

How long has Manafort been in solitary now? How much time did Abramoff do?
How are Manaforte's DP partners doing? ;-)

“Calculations vary on how many former members of Congress have joined the influence peddling set. By the middle of 2011, at least 160 former lawmakers were working as lobbyists in Washington, according to First Street, a website that tracks lobbying trends in DC, April 2013. The Center for Responsive Politics listed 412 former members who are influence peddling, 305 of whom are registered as federal lobbyists. Hundreds more were reaping huge, often six-figure and seven-figure salaries as consultants or “senior advisers”, those being among the noms de choice for avoiding the Scarlet L.”

“In addition, tens of thousands of Hill administration staff people move seamlessly into lobbying jobs. In a memoir by disgraced Republican lobbyist Jack Abramoff, the felon wrote that the best way for lobbyist to influence people on the Hill is to casually suggest they join their firm after they complete their public-service. “Now, the moment I said that to them, or any of our staff said that to them, that was it, we owned them" said Abramoff.”

“And what does that mean? Abramoff continued. "Every request from our office, every request of our clients, everything that we want, they're gonna do. And not only that, they're gonna think of things we can't think of to do.” Mark Leibovich, This Town, Penguin Books, 2013. p. 163.

The MSM does tell the truth once in a while, but they have to use a crystal ball to do it. ;-)

"“Trump succeeded,” lamented one moderate former Democratic lawmaker who asked to speak on background. “He got my party to lose its marbles.” The lawmaker cited calls by party activists to abolish the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency — calls the Warren campaign did not formally endorse but did little to refute — as emblematic of the party’s broader problems.

“What do Democrats stand for?” he asked. “Lawlessness or liberality? Policymaking or virtue signaling? Gender-neutral pronouns and bathrooms or good jobs and higher wages?”

As is his way, Mr. Trump wasted little time rubbing salt into Democratic wounds. “Democrats used to stand with the Working Man,” he tweeted Wednesday morning. “Now it’s the party of Abortion and Amnesty. All that’s missing is Acid. Sad!”

IOW, you cannot refute anything in my post. You know it a true description of the real hate and its sources in American politics right now.

"Capitol Police have issued an arrest warrant for a man who threatened to kill me and chop up my family with an axe," Paul said. "It's just horrendous that we have to deal with things like this." Capitol Police declined to comment because the investigation is ongoing.

This marks one of several threats and attacks Paul has had in the last year. More than a year ago, Paul was on the baseball diamond when James Hodgkinson opened fire and shot several congressional staffers as well as Rep. Steve Scalise, a Louisiana Republican. "

Yes, high level criminals within our secret police/spy agencies seem to be immune from grand jury investigations.

“The passage of more than three years hasn’t cooled the insistence in certain quarters that Clapper face charges for an admittedly false statement to Congress in March 2013, when he responded, “No, sir" and "not wittingly” to a question about whether the National Security Agency was collecting “any type of data at all” on millions of Americans.

About three months after making that claim, documents leaked by former NSA contractor Edward Snowden revealed the answer was untruthful and that the NSA was in fact collecting in bulk domestic call records, along with various internet communications.”

More absurd ad hominem nonsense. You need to actually read posts before you reply, you would have noted this: "Hate is certainly not one sided," Ddyad.

That personal attack at the end of your post violates the rules of this forum. It is a tactic often used to drive new members away - why would you try to pull that crap on me? Try substantive rebuttal - it works better.

The still thinking Left has been warning the DP's ground troops about going over the edge of reason for some time. It clearly hasn't helped.

“The most prolific of the conspiracy-mongers tend to focus on the Russia scandal, weaving a narrative so sensationalistic and complex that it could pass for a Netflix political drama. Theirs is a world where it is acceptable to allege that hundreds of American politicians, journalists, and government officials are actually secret Russian agents; that Andrew Breitbart was murdered by Vladimir Putin; that the Kremlin has “kompromat” on everyone, and oh-by-the-way a presidency-ending sex tape is going to drop any day now.

Writing recently in The New Republic, Sarah Jones identified the popularity of these notorious tweetstormers—some of whom boast followings in the hundreds of thousands—as part of a “disturbing emerging trend” on the left. “Liberals desperate to believe that the right conspiracy will take down Donald Trump promote their own purveyors of fake news,” she wrote.”
THE ATLANTIC, How the Left Lost Its Mind, Polemicists, conspiracists, and outright fabulists are feeding an alternative media landscape—where the implausibility of a claim is no bar to its acceptance. MCKAY COPPINS JUL 2, 2017.

Wasn't there an attempt by a prez to stop the DC to K street movement.
There had to be a wait time from public service to lobby job? I remember something about it. Don't know if it ever happened.

    I found this:

"President Donald Trump acted Saturday to fulfill a key portion of his pledge to "drain the swamp" in Washington, banning administration officials from ever lobbying the U.S. on behalf of a foreign government and imposing a separate five-year ban on other lobbying.

Trump has said individuals who want to aid him in his quest to "Make America Great Again" should focus on the jobs they will be doing to help the American people, not thinking ahead to the future income they could rake in by peddling their influence after serving in government."
CNBC/AP, Trump imposes lifetime ban on some lobbying, five years for others., 29 Jan 2017.
    https://www.cnbc.com/2017/01/29/tru...n-on-some-lobbying-five-years-for-others.html

Obama tried a similar approach. It did not work.
Washington needs lobbying like addicts need heroin.

Why isn't that front and center of his platform? Instead of a mostly useless wall. That won't solve the problem he proposes it will.
I know it's his campaign promise and that is the main reason he is doing this.
But sounds like the ban on lobbying was also. Much more meaningful, IMO.

I see he did it for his executive branch. He needs to expand that to most, if not all, politicians.
