Trump-fed conspiracy theories about migrant caravans intersected with Bowers deadly hatred of the 'invaders' assisting into the U.S. by HIAS which isn't only a service offered to Jewish people. HIAS provides services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex refugees and special immigrant visa holders in order to help them acclimate to and integrate into U.S. society. Robert Bowers knew exactly what HIAS did, that's why he murdered 11 in that synagogue in Pittsburgh. To him, HIAS was aiding those 'invaders' as Trump called them.

 

Political agenda is one thing, but pushing forth hatred that spurs on fanatical people that are dangerous enough to commit atrocities is a bit more than merely a 'political agenda'. It's incitement and encouragement. Some of these fringe elements need very little incitement to push them towards committing acts of violenc.
