While the person who didn't want the vaccination, but because other people felt they had the right to make the choice for him, ends up with either serious health issues, or dead. Hey, but no problem, all for the greater good, eh? Some believe in the right of choice, unless it's something they disagree with. Things aren't pick and choose, either you believe a person has sovereignty over their own body, or you don't. Having substances injected into one's body is definite a choice of the individual.
The person(s) making the choice over another's body are parents. So yes, I believe that parents have the right to choose what is injected into their children. And now that we are seeing the after effects of the anti-vaxxers - a reoccurrence of many diseases that had been, basically, eradicated in this country - we can see that they have put more than their own children at harm.
So, you have no issue with this wee bit of information? In 20 years, they have increased the number of vaccinations by 350%. Why? Can you verify and validate the necessity of each one, and say with absolute certainty that there are no interactions of any kind between these injections?
No, I can't. Nor will I spend my day investigating each one. If you'd like to, and then get back to me - that'd be great.
So it's easier to just say 'but the government says it's OK...' then to validate what is inject to a child. So noted.
I happen to believe that vaccinations are vital for individual and societal health. You don't. We can agree to disagree. I didn't say 'but the government...' What I said I had no interest in doing is investigating all the vaccinations you listed.
Assumptions.... I believe in choice, that doesn't mean I agree or disagree, it means I believe each person, or in this case, parent, has the right to make a choice.
Quite right - I made an assumption that you were an anti-vaxxer. Apologies. But I do believe that government does have a role to play in this issue. Scientific and medical advancements were made to eliminate certain plagues and diseases from our population - for the good of all. It was determined - for the good of all - that parents were to have their children vaccinated. I believe in government action that is justified AND PROVEN to be for the good of all. You can, of course, go on for pages about the case for smaller government and where big government may be trying to implement horrible programs under the guise of 'for the good of all'. But I won't be participating in that discussion should it occur. I am pro-vax. For the good of all. And if that makes me a socialist, then hand me my card and I will carry it!

That is being silly. Legislatures make laws, executives sign them and execute them, and courts review them.
