Thank you....... it is nice to meet you too Spooky!

This last year has been one where I think I got hit with the highest ever level of "conviction" regarding my many flaws............ Messiah Yeshua - Jesus deserves FEAR.........

Malachi 1:6 "A son honoureth his father, and a servant his master: if then I be a father, where is mine honour? and if I be a master, where is my fear? saith the LORD of hosts unto you, O priests, that despise my name. And ye say, Wherein have we despised thy name?"

If I only see Messiah Yeshua - Jesus as the Lamb of G-d and not also as the LION... then I am really missing a big part of the full view of Messiah!

Yeah, religion was very popular in the 1700s, but thankfully it is disappearing in civilized nations. I don't want science to rule us, I just think we should listen to it when there is evidence. Its time to base our society on reason and science, not on dogma and superstition.

God gave man kind a new revelation. God gave it to Joseph Smith.
Christians should not blow of God's latest revelation to mankind.

When you say religion, I am not clear what is in your mind. I see GOD as the creator. If you know how the universe could be created, both as the science of our Creator and his efforts, and he vanished, please tell me how? I am not trying to use it as in rock and roll bands and insincere singing, I mean he created all you see around you.

No mention of a belief that Jesus was the son of God, that he was born of a virgin, or that he performed miracles, or that he died and was resurrected or that the Holy Bible contains the inspired word of God. Haven't you confused the term theist with the term Christian?

99.9% of US Christians are Bogus Christians.

Take VPOTUS Mike Penis for example. He associates with traitors, money launderers, fornicators, liars, and fraudsters.

Not sure about those that claim nothing created the universe. I think the main claim is that the Universe just is and has always been.

If one claims God created something - say that star over there. Then God existed prior to that star existing. If one claims that God or some God force existed prior to the star - this then was the universe at the time. In other words "Something Existed" prior to that star. If one claims that God is eternal - then something has always existed. That something was the universe - at that point in time.

This question - however interesting - was not the point of my post. My post assumes that God exists. The question is whether or not the Bible is an accurate depiction of that God.

Just because some God might exist - does not mean that the Bible - or some other holy book - gives an accurate depiction of God.

There used to be the steady state model when they believed the universe always existed. But many years ago, they changed their minds upon a lot more investigation. Such as the background radiation from the big bang creation of the universe.

I think modern astronomers see waves of gravity in the universe that would not be there if the universe always existed.

The issue of has GOD always existed, while nobody knows for certain, we in our church do believe that as man is, God once was. That as GOD is, man may become. In other words, some point in the future, man has the opportunity to also be a god. This in my opinion declares that something very strange is going on for this to happen.

I am not trying to validate the Bible by the way.

Not sure where you get this from but it is not true with respect to the main substance of the conversation = whether or not something has always existed.

It is silly to talk about "This Universe" as being the "beginning of something". The fact of the matter is that there is no sane Physicist who claims this. They do not claim that nothing existed prior to the Big Bang.

The same is true in relation to gravity waves. No sane Physicist claims that gravity waves mean that there was a time when "something" did not exist.

This above is an interesting perspective - this perspective would definitely be considered an "anathema" with respect to Christian dogma/doctrine.

Here is an interesting proof you might like. My claim is that "existence" has always existed. The assumption is that time is infinite.

While we can not prove the existence of a creator (although I have a proof for this as well - given certain assumptions) what we do know - and about the only thing we know for sure - is that "we exist". "I think therefor I am".

One day - you opened your eyes and realized that you were aware of your own existence. This is a rather spectacular thing when you think about it.

At some point (regardless of how it happened) matter and energy (or some interaction of the two) realized it existed. How do we know this ? You exist - You are a configuration of matter and energy.

How this happened is irrelevant to this argument. The fact of the matter is that it did happen.

In order for this event to happen (matter and energy assuming a configuration that became aware of itself) there had to be a finite probability of this event happening.

People often talk about the high odds of this event happening (from the perspective of randomness though which is a flawed assumption). Even in this case - even if the odds are astronomically high - this is still a finite probability.

So what are the odds that you will exist again ? That matter and energy come together in the same configuration that is you ? Quite high no ?

Regardless - the statistical fact of the matter is that in an infinite amount of time - all events with a finite probability happen. In fact - they happen an infinite number of times.

Existence is eternal. ( if you like I can give you my proof for God in another post).

What if you mostly live life according to the scripture, believe in God but have a single vice, say women?

    Is a 99% Christian a Christian? Or a Non-Christian?

There are 613 laws and commandments in the Old Testament. Jesus fulfilled them, they are not all for Christians to fulfil. I would suggest reading Galatians and Colossians. Christians should obey the law of Jesus, not Moses.

Or just stop trolling Christians when you clearly have an agenda against them and nothing to add.

    I did no such thing.

Don't blame me for your misinterpretation of musings from physicists. Big difference between saying/inferring that you misinterpreted something and calling someone a liar.

Yes, they are. But they are the basis of the law of Christianity as Jesus explains.

    New International Version
For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.
