    Isn't that we're doing here? Objecting to McCain's policies and actions?

    As for Reagan, when liberals are not trying to take credit for Reagan and his accomplishments by claiming he wouldn't be welcome in today's Republican Party, they are constantly lying about his record and smearing him as a racist. This has been SOP for Democrats for 40 years now. The same for Nixon and Atwater. We live in alternate realities with alternate facts and alternate truth.

    The problem there is that the right and some Democrats lie and spin what antisemitism is and what it isn't. And if you held the honest and correct truth about what it is, you wouldn't have raised the point.

    And the problem is also that the right has in too many cases lost all natural human moral decency and good judgement that should give them pause regarding any thought of lying about a dead person, -and one of their own to boot!

    I guess if Trump tells them "It's OK", then it's OK.

    But, you also have to realize that you are dealing with the Hard-Core Trump Fan Base (who would thank Trump for clearing the lot if he burned their houses down).

    Obviously, these attacks on McCain are pathetic (and, yet another, degradation of the Office of POTUS).

    Trump is as Trump does.

    Actually there are four different levels or descriptions of criticisms that can be considered regarding a deceased person. There are two that may be made by an "ordinary person on the street", and there are the same two that may be made by a person who is in the public eye, like a politician. And those two types are 1) criticisms of a legitimate nature that most of us would agree is not just partisan character assassination, like McCain's silly "bomb bomb bomb, --bomb bomb Iran", and 2) obviously inappropriate or partisan attacks like "fat-cheek McCain" (I made that up for the illustration) or other personal attack.

    When an ordinary person does #1 it's ok. For a politician to do #1 would be questionable.
    When an ordinary person does #2, it's childish flamebait. When a politician does #2 it is highly objectionable and borders on rendering the person unfit for office.

    Let's be clear, McCain voted against the healthcare bill because it was an ill conceived, thrown together, piece of crap which did nothing to address the numerous promises Trump made on the campaign trail. It would have left many thousands of people worse off with respect to their healthcare.

    Trump is such a moron and reportedly seldom reads anything that comes across his desk that he probably had no clue what was even in it. He just wanted it passed so that he could say he passed something/anything in order to make him look good which is all he's ever cared about.

    He's so transparent you might as well call him President Perspex.
