I have a personal preference for mild cheese, so I'll give it a go.
Food trivia: Most pre-shredded/grated cheese contains cellulose, to prevent caking. Nothing like a bit of Southern Yellow Pine to flavor up a good Romano....

I have a bull mastiff and English mastiff cross and a border collie for dogs. Have one cat in the house that showed up at the house injured that I took in. The cat is pretty cool has one blue eye and one green. My collie spends all day with me riding in what ever I happen to be driving that day.

Lol, my spouse can make friends with virtually any animal, including deer. Of course, a little molasses meal and cracked corn helps. While everyone else is all a flutter over a couple of Turkey's in their yard, we get them by the dozen. I think I spend more money on the wildlife around here then I do on groceries for us.

same here, i built little homes and put those heated mats in them for the cats... between cat food & bird foods we spend same money, if not more, that we do for ourselves... utilities too...

Depends on the use. Straight eating or crackers, brie or camembert, gouda. In foods, a good asiago, fontina or the sharp cheddars. And of course, a true fresh mozzarella, mascarpone and fresh ricotta for the Italian dishes.

    Woops, back to animals, lol.

No problem, and I agree. At my last family get together my very liberal brother-in-law said if we would just take the politicians out and regular people just talked we would find that on a lot of things we could find a happy middle ground and on something we agree more than we think. And we both agreed that if you think politicians have have your best interests at heart and not theirs you are a fool.

    ain't that the truth.

We've had cats for 45 years, three at once for a few years, but now down to one. An inside/outside cat that only uses the indoor litter box in emergencies, so we got that going for us big time.

Also had a dog for 17 years while the kids were growing up. I lost count of how many guinea pigs, turtles and goldfish.

That reminds me I saw another dog break its hip yesterday, and carted off to somewhere or other. The owner had been using one of those plastic tennis ball-throwing devices non-stop for about half an hour when it happened. The other thing (honestly, the things I see in my perigrinations?), was some bloke in a motorised invalid buggy 'exercising' an ageing dog (it had grey hair around its mouth as older dogs do?); the poor bloody dog was trying to keep up and was obviously at the point of exhaustion. I flagged him down and remonstrated with the idiot. The stupidity of people - and especially doggy-people, I'm afraid - never ceases to amaze me.
