How rational countries deal with gun violence.

Oh, for God's sake. You should be ashamed of your self posting that link. Those are not towns, those are villages. Two or three of them don't even have a population of a thousand with no crime except for J-walking. I guarantee you that if you or I walk into any of them that the whole village knows we're there within a half hour. Why would you need a gun?

Wrong. At EVERY level of income blacks are disproportionately overrepresented in regards to violent crime. That means, REGARDLESS OF INCOME LEVEL, blacks disproportionately commit violent crime.

 

Right but you’re asserting more guns equals more crime or gun violence. So per capita those places should experience more gun crime or violence according to your position right?

 

And the poor is over represented in crimes too. And certainly men are. Dont you want to reduce crimes?

I live near a town of about a thousand people and grew up in a town of about a thousand. Both have a police force and both have crime. Stores get robbed. Houses get broken into.

 

No in fact they do not. If you remove the black population from those statistics neither the poor or men are disproportionately or grossly overrepresented. That’s the ENTIRE point.

 

So then more guns don’t equal more gun violence?

You wouldn’t happen to be saying it’s a culture issue. Would you?

Thank you I was just about to make that point. Crime happens in small towns all over this country. But not in those towns.

Your comment brings us to a fork in the road and it's high time we've arrived at this point.

1). One way will brings us to disarming the poor and the destitute.

2). The other way brings us to city hall with petitions calling for the elimination of unemployment, unsustainable minimum wages, and sub-human standards of habitation.

What was the crime rate before this "law", a "law" that is not actually enforced but was just politically introduced to encourage gun manufacturers to come to these towns?

That is the crux of the matter - the feeling that you are safer because you are armed. This victim in your post was fortunate enough to be still alive to be able to answer your question. The probability is higher of being dead and hence not being able to answer the question if the victim was armed.

The statistics show that having a gun in your house increasing the chance of the gun owner or family members being harmed either by the owner's gun or by an intruder

Remove the same type of demographic from the other first world nations and you would still have much higher gun crime.

You made a comment about crime in small towns. . I responded to it. My response was true. I don't know what happened in the towns which required guns. I just pointed out a fact which was contrary to the message you were making. If they reduced crime in a small town, I am all in favor of it.

 

You can stop playing silly buggers now. You don't need a gun to prevent J-walking and you don't need a gun to prevent starving people from stealing bread .... or stealing the money to purchase it.
