Thought the meaning would be obvious, but maybe not to you.

Meant that she wants to pick when she has the child.

If it sounds nonsensical, that's because it fundamentally is.

So it all comes back to "it's not a person", which is really a separate argument. Well if that's the case it really renders all other pro-life arguments moot.

I don't know why you people throw this up against every pro-life argument.

    Why is PLANNING "nonsensical"?

Corporations, military, governments, etc, etc all do PLANNING!

Why is it "nonsensical" for a person to do PLANNING?

Or do you just rely upon your imaginary god's "planning" for your life?

Why must EVERYONE ELSE fail to plan just because you don't plan your own life?

When I phrased it the way I did, FoxHastings commented it was nonsensical.

She was pointing our that your drivel is nonsensical just like I did.

You can't substantiate your own nonsense!

And why is it your business what a woman chooses to do with the fetus inside HER body?

    It was!

The response to that from katenatsu:

The problem is you're trying to pick when they come along, after they've already come along.

The pro-choice position actually has little to do with the woman's body.
The real reason can be clearly seen in the organization's name "Planned Parenthood".
The woman wants the child four years from now, not now.
They'd like to "Plan" these children. LIFE doesn't always work like that.

It all looks perfectly nonsensical to me ….

It is not a separate argument and nor does it render all other pro life arguments mute. The question of whether or not the zygote is "a human" is the primary question of the debate.

Why you encounter this so much is you keep "assuming the premise" - assuming the zygote (and everything after) is a human.

This then renders the debate mute. What you are doing is walking into a debate on "whether or not the zygote is a human" and doing nothing but claiming "is a human" over and over and over. That is not debate - it is repetition of premise.

If you want folks like myself to stop calling out this fallacy - then quit making it. There is a difference between sawing through a living human and sawing through a cow - something that is not a human.

The question have for you is then - would you think twice about sawing through a cow to escape and save your own life ?

I was just saying that what you commented was nonsensical is exactly the logic Pro-choicers are using, just phrased in a different way.

It's nonsensical to "plan" children after they have already come into existence inside a woman's womb.

It sounds more like a plan to get rid of them.

I have ever seen you state what Pro-Choicers think accurately EVER.

Children do NOT come into existence in a woman's womb.

It is not nonsensical to abort a fetus one didn't plan on having and doesn't want...it's very sensible.

That's misogyny, thinking women get pregnant just to have an abortion....and it's nonsensical ...

Then you shouldn't have said it was nonsensical.

You say it's nonsense and then you turn around and say it's very sensible.

What I said is the same as what you're saying so maybe it just depends on how it's phrased?
i.e. if it sounds good it makes sense to you, if the same thing is worded in a way that sounds bad then you say it's completely crazy and nonsensical

Maybe you just can't see that the two things are the same?
