You did infer that the poster was blaming the flooding on Trump
Can you not remember your own words now ?

I implied that trump haters wish they could blame trump

And in a way libs do blame him for not buying into the green new deal bullshit

And they will use that to lay future floodsvat his feet

To the extent extra soybeans and grains that were lost because they weren't exported to China due to Trump's trade war. Yep. That's100% Trumps fault.

Increasing tariffs on Chinese goods is how we got here.
But your correct, the US is going to be out of the soybean business.
    Brazil owns it now.

I too think it likely that a moderate version of climate change is likely (not the doomsayers), but dont forget that journalists have confirmation bias too and as they expect to see more weather events will report more.

Like how you expect murder to be far more likely based on the news, but it has heavily declined in recent decades.

    No

It was lowering tariffs on china in the 1990s that drove factories overseas and factory workers to the welfare line

It is not about turning the other cheek - it is about making bad arguments and laziness. I don't buy your - they make bad arguments so I will make bad arguments justification.

Just because some lib jumps of a bridge - does not mean you have to.

Further - bad arguments do not help the cause - on the contrary - they help the other side.

Climate is changing due to high concentration of the pollution at certain areas. India and China.
As a result air normal air currents are changing their directions and bring cold or devastation to certain places.

I’m in Nebraska. It’s been a week of hell. I only lost a few animals. My neighbors downstream have it worse than me so I’m counting my blessings. The flooding here was worse than anyone alive has seen. But any fool can look at the topography and examine soil type variations and placements and see it’s been much worse multiple times in the past. Long befor the industrial revolution.

I wish people would stop using misfortune of others for political ammunition. For people who spend 95% of waking hours outside in the weather/climate things like this are not unusual or shocking. It’s not extreme or unprecedented it’s just different. A little variety to keep life interesting.

If people have any desire to help the people of the midwest I suggest taking a week or two off calling them fools and thank them for feeding you.

Soybean prices are low because we are too good at producing them. The price of commodity grains took a dump long before Trump.

The US will never be out of the soybean business because we produce a superior product and can get them to market. Brazil’s infrastructure is garbage.

I don't think the floods had anything to do with "global warming." The flooding in Nebraska was triggered by only about an inch of rain, but that rain melted the snow already on the ground, and the ground was too frozen to absorb the moisture, so all that moisture ran into the rivers and triggered flooding. It has been a very cold winter here. Many ranchers lost calves, and even cows, from the cold temperatures.

Actually the prices are down because our largest customer (China) cut it's imports by over 50%.
And Brazil's beans have a higher protein content then ours.
You may not have noticed China just made a big investment in Brazil's infrastructure to facilitate more shipments.

    https://reason.com/blog/2018/10/24/this-one-chart-explains-how-badly-trumps

But you did get one right. We are not out of the soybean market, we just lost most of our exports.

I can see statistics wasn't your best class.

Jobs went way down on a very small increase in 2000, then magically leveled out during the biggest increase only to fall again on a modest increase.
Is this the right wing "alternate math?"

No sense of history. We had more severe weather in the 30s and 50s and an historic flood in the same area in 1912.

    It’s called weather.
