I almost agree. They furiously hated GW Bush. Sure when we got attacked on 911, for a few days they were accepting GW Bush. But when he announced his actions over 911, the red eyed monster came alive again and out came those fangs.

There is an open door among we republicans to sincere, honest discussion. I do not mean the look at him form of debate, but the look at ME type where I have good reasons type. Democrats deny us all of that sort of dialogue.

Some who defend Democrats refuse to defend republicans and they claim .... not me, I am in the middle. But they stand tall for Democrats. But slink out of sight defending any republican.

They could advance much more being a lower type of badass loud mouth. When i chaired committees, I knew instantly nothing gets accomplished in all that yelling. I made sure rule of order was used. And it worked. We came to respect all of our opinions. We got work done that way. Nobody ended up on top. We all came together. But that is how I ran my committees. We all ended up winning. In fact I got special citations from the Board president on how it worked.

It would be cool if the mods came up with a kind of certificate and awarded it to the top posters. This would give to the lower ranked people a chance to also earn one.

I damned near know the answer since when I was your age, I had hardly left the Democrats and know why I believed their blather. I believe in the Democrats due to my parents. They persuaded me Democrats are the right people. I woke up and studied.

Any chance of getting you to do any of that?

I want to address the second point. I was both a worker and an employer. I as a worker believed what you preach. I found out when you issue the paycheck, what you believed as a worker was pure garbage.

When you have to make sure the funds are there on payday, you find out it is not that easy to have plenty of money. You sold goods to others. And they did not pay for them. You wanted to create more work so you issued terms of pay in 30 days to your customers. "If they paid on time, fine and dandy. But when the company you sold to refused to pay on time, and it took you a half year to finally collect, you still had to come up with cash to pay your workers.

Workers do not get to see the tears flow when the customer is not paying on time. They have tears flowing if their paycheck bounces. Then the owner is one hell of a louse.

See, you only see one side.

If I am awarded over several words on one line, I will be totally shocked.

I was asked by a major sized machine shop to work with them to give them funding to make their payroll. I started working for them hard and suddenly things got so bad the husband and wife owners hit a bump and got divorced, killing any chance to help them. Their employees ended up all laid off. And I suspect they went to court trying to get a paycheck. It was one hell of a fine and fancy modern machine shop too. I as a lender watched them fold up.

 

I was an employer with a multi million dollar budget. As usual you get so much wrong about me. The GOP has never been for anyone but the rich elites. Pick an issue...civil rights, healthcare, taxes, social programs for the poor, elderly or disabled......you name it. The GOP defends the rich white elites and the Democrats defend the rest of America.

I stand with Americans.

i never said a thing about you and had no clue you had a million dollar budget. I never had my own that high but I handled a budget for a group that had 3500 members in it. Me on the same committee to be forthright. That Budget was multi million too.

 

That is very incorrect. If it weren't for the Republicans, civil rights would not have been pushed though. It wasn't a party issue then and it shouldn't be now. Civil rights was evenly split between the Northern and the Southern States but the votes by party was pretty even.

The difference in support of social programs, like that of immigration, is more of an approach difference than a purely for/against line of thinking. Dems want to tax the rich and give to the poor. A give a man a fish approach (actually, take from the fisherman and give to the fishless approach). The Republicans want people to have some skin in the game so that they can earn for themselves (teach a man to fish approach). Of course both parties have taken their sides too far in order to pander to their bottom feeding supporters.

The white house claimed that the reporters whose press passes were taken away were knowingly reporting false stories, but the stories they reported were proven to be accurate, which is why a federal judge sided with the reporters.

The one which made the news was Jim Acosta. He was illegally stripped of his press to get into the white house and official events because Trump didn't like questions he was asking at a press conference following the Midterm. Acosta and CNN then filed a federal lawsuit against Trump, Sarah Sanders, and others who had a hand in actually suspending his credentials for first amendment violations. A federal judge ordered his pass restored, and the white house later announced that it was dropping it's efforts to have it take away.

The white house them claimed that Acosta's pass was suspended because of an exchange between him and Trump in which he didn't like the questions Acosta had asked when he was given the floor,and insulted him, telling him to "let him (Trump) run the country", and that CNN's ratings would be hire if he focused on it. Basically, Trump meant let him do whatever he wants and keep his mouth shut (unless it's to say good things about Trump of course). Acosta then asked if he could ask a follow up question, but one of Trump's handlers hurried over and forcefully took the microphone out of Acosta's hands. Trump ordered Acosta's press pass suspended following the end of the press conference.

I believe i was mistaken about there being more than one. I do recall Trump CALLING for other CNN (and anyone who who dared cover stories which Trump didn't like) reporters to be stripped of their press passes, but it seems that Acosta is the only one who actually was.


Sarah Sanders then wrote to CNN threatening to take away the press passes of any reporters, or to outright ban CNN from covering any official white house events, if they do not "follow the rules". In other words, Trump decides what questions the reporters are allowed to ask, and if they don't like it, they lose their passes.

 

OK. I guess Acosta's ego is big enough to qualify him as being multiple reporters.

Actually, I think it could be viewed so when the press, the MSM takes sides in our political battles instead of just reporting on them. This is especially true when it comes to cable news networks. There is no doubt Fox has been very pro Trump, conservative in the way they report their news. MSNBC and CNN, absolutely anti Trump and very pro Liberal in how they report the news. They have taken sides, just report the straight news, fully, accurately and fairly is not longer done on cable. They have become propaganda outlets to the two major parties.

Americans who trust the MSM has been steadily dropping since 1976 when a record high of 72% of all Americans trust the media to report the news fully, fairly and accurately most of the time. Today, that trust has fallen to 32%. Why, bias in reporting the news. One either gets their news from a Democratic Party perspective or from a GOP perspective. Most Americans are honest enough to acknowledge this. That is except the die hard's who believe everything that is said on the cable news channels as gospel.
