    Barr said what Mueller said...there was no crime. With that said, to your larger point, there was a different law in place at the time, that the left let sunset in light of the Starr Investigation. Starr was an Independent Counsel, appointed under the Eithics In Government Act. Title VI, which allowed for the appointment via a three judge panel expireed in 1999. Under this law, Starr did not report to the AG's office, and answered to the panel of Judges and reported directly the findings to the US Congress. The current law, in regards to Special Counsel is still under the AG Office, and still reports to the AG

    I don't agree. I do think Graham is a "little light in the loafers"...............but I do not think he is a collectivist. Unfortunately he's one of the GOP who tries to fight gentlemanly , rather than get down in the dirt and "go to the mattresses" with the dirty Dims.

    2 mitigating factors that favor Graham IMO ... 1st longtime friend of McCain. 2nd since you can't ever put a Genie back in a bottle, the reasonable thing was to pass it on. Bruce Ohr was being fed the dossier as it was being written. Bruce disseminated it throughout the "intel community", and Obama admin. McCain was the non partisan patsy that Comey needed to legitimize the witch hunt. Still doubts about McCain's degree of willingness ... but if McCain & Graham sat on it? Good grief.

    Many RP politicians are really stupid. You know, like Flake, Corker and Kasich.

    Graham is not stupid. He knows that given the high level of support for Trump within the core RP voter base it is political suicide for any RP candidate to dis Trump.

    Graham wants to run for President in 2024, so he will say (but not act) things to make the Trumper core favorable to him.

    He won't do a thing about Mueller in a serious vein.

    Pardon ... Graham co-sponsored resolutions to protect Mueller. Graham cautioned Trump numerous times. Graham isn't going after Bob Mueller. Special counsel inherited the partisan witch hunt, he didn't initiate it. Graham like all of us, probably has questions about Strzok's texts and demotion while assigned to Mueller. Lisa Page, Bill Priestep, Stefan Halper, Josef Misfud too. I predict (D)'s calls for transparency will lead to indictments of several investigators and their sources. Even if the (D)'s "Ken Starr" standards, that they themselves imposed are honored.
