Don't you realize the the American flag and the displaying of the American flag on Government vehicles (Federal, State or Local) has nothing to do with Trump or Kaepernick. It has been around since before either one of them were born. If you think it is some dog-whistle of some sort, that is YOUR problem.

That was pre-Trump. There are two major political parties in this country. One has turned into a creepy cult of personality that worships a guy who dodged the draft, attacked a POW, compared avoiding STD's to Vietnam, and now literally hugs the flag. By doing stuff like that (hugging the flag), and going after a black guy peacefully sitting out the anthem to protest police shootings of unarmed blacks, the flag and the anthem are now associated with Trump. How can they not be?

Except that Trump is not getting a pass. There are many voices out there calling him out....just as there were voices calling out Obama for any perceived slight he uttered....while others remained silent and did not think his slights were important.

In regards to Kap....what he did was disrespectful. Not his message, but his methods. There are a lot of people that do feel respect to the flag should be given...or at least that it should not be disrespected. Do you think that those that find his actions as being disrespectful should be ignored or silenced just because Kap said he meant no disrespect? If I say the N-word, but meant no disrespect to anybody, should I be given a pass? The fact that I had to refer to it as the "N-word" speaks volumes.

This is so damn stupid. Laguna Beach is the premier beach of Orange County. It's the most upscale. The population are a bunch of very wealthy white liberals. I free dive and surf there often.

As much as I'd like to understand what it must be like to live as someone who wants nothing more from life than to have their every butthurt complaint given top tier consideration I don't think I could. I imagine its like trying to understand what the mind of an infant is like. When you're in that state you cant comprehend beyond it and once you mature out of it you cant regress. The closest I've come to understanding these people is spending time in r/politics where enraged children devote countless hours of each day not to discussion but to resonating fake news driven bigotry throughout the largest cesspool echo chamber every constructed.

It makes no sense. The flag doesn't represent one political view or position or the other, it represents the COUNTRY and ALL political views and positions.

 

That is not an American flag on the side of the Slave Patrol car. It is a warning that when the Slave Patrol shows up that it will see all issues as black and white and that it will spill blood (the red on the side of the car). The stars could be representative of bullet holes. If they want a flag on the car it should be an actual depiction of an American flag and not some interpretation dreamed up by a psycho.

 

American outsourcing is sickening to us as well. Unfortunately, we might be 20-25 years too late to reverse that tragedy.
