That's the same as, "How many Americans read American history?". Surprising how many people don't have a great deal of knowledge of their own country. Doesn't mean they're less American or British etc.. then a Christian not being a Christian from not knowing the four gospels.

No one can know what any muslim will do in the future

All we can do is limit muslim immigration to applicants who are highly qualified in their profession along with their immediate family

219,000 by Pew's estimate, "support murdering innocents in the name of Islam." (The quote is from columnist Kathleen Parker, Albany Times Union newspaper, May 27, 2007). The survey also showed
that "fewer than half of all American Muslims believe that Arabs engineered the 9/11 attacks. Another third expressed no opinion or refused to answer." (Again from Parker.) While 58% of American
Muslims viewed al-Qaida very unfavorable, 27% said they didn't know how they felt or refused to answer. The Pew study authors said that the situation among European Muslims was much worse.

 

Most muslims in the US got here as refugees, lottery winners, or as an extended family member

If we had limited immigration to highly qualified professionals and their wife a children only they still might hate America but would be far less in number

 

Christians consider honor killings a crime. Many Muslims consider it justified and even laudable.

 

There is no difference between a suicide bomber and a missile dropped on a block of buildings -,both murder innocents

 

How does that mundane observation relate to the Pew Study??

 

Christianity and Islam are much the same or on par in the identification of sin and trespass. Where we begin to diverge is in how we address it.

Nope, but of course some people have an anti-Muslim agenda, so any story like this is going to be circulated online to help foment and maintain bigotry.

 

They are different insofar as the Christian community considers them a crime and many Muslim communities consider them justified. The perps are not deranged, rather they are following long established custom.

 

I'm more comfortable with people who focus on the spirit of their religion than the hardliners who focus on typically conflicting scripture.

 

One learns the spirit of one's religion from such scriptures.

So maybe it's a misdemeanor in Christianity and a capital offence in Islam? Or can you make a plea deal with God.

 

The term's root is the same as the old Italian word for vindication, meaning the clearing of one's name or honor.

 

Did it escape you how many cheered as bombs were randomly dropped on Iraqi and Afghan towns and how many are hoping that the same will happen on Iranian cities?

 

The latter.

 

Of course. The Western and Islamic world are enemies. One notes the cheering of Muslims at the burning as evidence of that enemy status.

 

Or from others more knowledgeable about scriptures--the pastor, elders, and so on.
