    Her argument:

“I consider the slave trade and how black slaves were once treated like cattle and put out to stud in order to create generations of more slaves,” she said Tuesday. “I consider the how many masters raped their slaves. I consider how many masters forced their slaves to have abortions, and I consider how many pregnant slaves self-induced abortions so that they would not contribute children they had to this slave system. … And so I ask you, with all of your values, to consider that and vote yes to this amendment.”

That makes zero sense. Slavery was over 150 years ago. It's laughable. This woman is the modern day Black Margaret Sanger.

it should be more about equal protection of the law, than just more laws.

Employment is at the will of either party in our at-will employment States.

Compensation for capitalism's natural rate of unemployment is market friendly and can solve simple poverty under our form of Capitalism.

Increasing market participation means better capital based metrics upon which to base decisions under our form of Capitalism.

Very bold for a new board member to start demanding changes. Please read for a while before telling us how to do things. At less than 100 messages, you really haven't been here long enough to criticize the moderators.

This is David Duke’s wet dream. And it’s supported by the left?

How about a law excluding white people from paying taxes? Now that would be progress.

under our form of capitalism, every child should be a capital desire, not a social necessity.

I'm referring directly to the topic. Please stop with the ad-hominems, and either discuss my point, or take up a conversation with somebody else.

The thread title suggests that the intention is to promote abortions for a specific race for the purpose of population control of that race. This is a grossly exaggerated and over-abused position, and it is garbage. There is no evidence of intentions from democrats to control the population of any specific race. This is why it is garbage. Sensationalist garbage. This thread should be put into a "garbage" room.

Oh I am sure there is just as much poop-slinging going on there as there is here, so I won't bother. I'm just saying, it would be nice if you guys could be more objective and intellectually honest.

The topic is the subject of the article, not the source of the article, or how the article is written. You don't get to decide the direction of the thread, that's not how this works. I mean, you could keep doing what you're doing... but eventually people will just ignore you and report your posts. If that seems productive to you, then by all means, go ahead

First off, in this sub-forum, we are required to use the title of the article we are linking to as the title of our threads....and there must be a link to an article.

Second, the title is spot on:

Ohio Democrat Drafts Amendment Seeking To Make Black Babies Exempt From Pro-Life Law

An Ohio Democrat DID seek an amendment to exempt black babies from the new pro-life law. The words "population control" are not even in the title....nor is there any mention of promoting abortions for a specific race.

If you inferred these items on your own, that is on you.

I am speaking directly to the issue. The issue is that this kind of nonsense is highly suggestive, flame-baiting, pandering, confirmation-bias garbage. It is specifically intended to make people on both sides become emotional. It is not objective or intellectually honest. Whatever truth it is actually based upon, it is very loosely done so without nearly the context that the full picture really gives.

You are being intellectually dishonest. I think you know as well as anybody that the story title is engineered to give people the impression that congress is trying to kill black babies. It is way out of context and misleading. It is not objective in any way.

What the heck are you talking about????

It is a statement of freaking fact. A Democrat DID draft an amendment to make black babies exempt. Listen to the freaking video I posted. How do you think the article should have been stated?

On another topic, this thread was about as mild as we see around here. If you are going to get bent out of shape over things you inferred on your own and then attempt to silence opinions or threads that you disagree with, I would suggest you find another forum. You will just cause yourself to have an aneurysm here.

I assure you that you don't represent the consensus on this forum. And I wasn't telling anybody how to do things. I am making valid and objective points. This thread is garbage, because it appeals to people's emotions and doesn't appeal to logic whatsoever.

I haven't broken any rules. I am addressing the topic directly. You are in fact closer to bending the rules with your ad-hominem comments, telling me how to behave...but I don't feel the need to complain, because I am entirely comfortable and confident in my behavior and logic. Unlike some people. ;)

How would you know about the consensus on this forum? You haven't been here a week. I stand by my comment. It's very bold for a new board member to try to tell us what board policies should be. Be on here for more than a week before you tell us what to do.

It's not a "statement of freaking fact" if it is taken out of context and designed to elicit an emotional, one-sided response.

For example, if I were acting in the same capacity, I could CLAIM that you made the statement:

"I...make black babies...listen to the freaking video. Get bent."

It is a FACT that you said those words. Is it in context? No. Is it intellectually honest of me to make that claim.

Further, I'm not the one getting "bent out of shape." I am simply stating some facts.

I am simply stating that this thread title (I frankly don't care where it came from...) is designed to elicit an emotional response, and does not invite any objective dialogue to the issue that it pretends to address.

OK....how would you have worded the article title.

You have been here for less than a week. Not really a great way to start. You will see many thread titles that are a bit misleading....that is the nature of today's news media and current events. The Current Events sub-forum is a bit different than many forums you might be use to. There are specific rules that govern threads here. You might read up on these rules so that you panties are not so bunched up over nothing.

I did read the rules when I registered, before I clicked the box that says that I have to follow them.

So far, I am doing a better job than you are at following them because I am not the one making ad hominem attacks about other people's "panties." You do understand that can be considered a violation of rule #2, don't you?

My being new here has nothing to do with anything. There are no rules that say new people need to put up with other members' insults and garbage threads. If I want to express the fact that this thread is a one-sided out-of-context piece of garbage, it is not only my right but it is my moral obligation to do so.

Perhaps you all just need to stop throwing "rules" and "norms" at me, and explain to me why my assertions are not correct. Not a single one of you has attempted that yet. Just tell me why should I consider the story in this thread an exemplary piece of journalism that deserves objective debate.

    From the OP:

It's about black babies because Boyd - the subject of the OP - made it so.
