"Comfort"? Yes, perhaps. But real comfort is what you find with your family and neighbours. When celebrities and politicians express themselves publically it is for the purpose of personal PR and nothing else. Make no mistake.

Anyway, I understand that persons of prominence are eager to boost their popularity for a variety of reasons but I thoroughly dislike when the media interject their spun and overdramatic rallying with empty words. Are we laying about wringing our hands in silence waiting for some politician to tell us what we should feel? "A terrible tragedy" .... of course, it is. Why should I give a stuff what Macron has to say about it? Would I otherwise believe he is drunk and doesn't care? The media is a flock of septic vultures.

Do you think it would be beyond Muslims to commit a crime like burning Notre Dame cathedral? Whenever disasters like this occur they naturally become immediate suspects, and with good reason.. It may not be Muslims this time but what does it matter? Their reputation for destroying religious symbols and structures is well deserved, and so is the random taking of innocent lives.

Islam is a problem in the west and pretending it isn't is just foolish.

 

You seem to pay more attention to the man than I do. In fact there are millions who hold the same opinion and millions, like yourself, who have already decided what happened.

 

However they certainly don't hold a Christian Cathedral in high regard.

 

When right from the beginning France was making it clear they believed the fire was started accidentally in connection with work going on in the Cathedral, I thought, on this forum this thread will get few posts.

But no, they still trolled it with Muslim hatred. At least we can know none of them are Christians or respect ancient buildings or works of art or are even capable of having empathy with the French people at this time.

There is nothing clear, the inquiry isn't finished, and there were dozen of church vandalized those last years. Christian places are over represented among religious hatred acts in France. Recently it was a pakistani cultural enrichement which attacked the Saint Denis basilica.

 

It is irrelevant whether the inquiry has finished. What is clear is that since this fire happened some people have shown no concern about the fire itself but despite right from the beginning the French saying it was an accident and repeating that it was an accident the only interest some people have had is trying to use the Notre Damn Fire to incite hatred of Muslims. When people have less interest in the fire than they have in trying to incite hatred of Muslims that speaks for themselves. Their interest is not the fire, their interest is inciting hate. No doubt the reason why the French authorities made clear right from the beginning that they believed it was accidental was not to give such haters the opportunity for their Kristallnaucht all over the US and Europe in a massive killing of Muslims. There are some very dangerous people posting on this forum.

They probably feel about them the same as you feel about mosques. I would think they probably hold Notre Dame in high regard since it is built to honor virgin Mary who is a bit of a heroine in islam.

It also has nothing to do with what I said. From the beginning France has been totally clear that it believes this fire was accidental not arson. Their original information was that they believed it was accidental caused by the workers. They have repeated several times that they believe that it was accidental not arson.....now in such a situation when one of the most prestiges Cathedrals in the world is on fire possibly being lost and some people have no concern about that but their only concern is to use the incident to incite hatred of Muslims, their interest is clear. No interest in Notre Damn. Every interest in inciting hatred towards Muslims even though French Authorities have repeatedly made clear they believe it was accidental not deliberate. As I said, if there were a reason for the authorities to repeatedly make clear they belief it is accidental, that reason would be to stop these inciters from their Kristallnaucht mass murdering Muslims all over Europe and the US - that is their tinderbox and some of them have even hinted of that on this thread. So not to stray from where this began, I will say again what I said in my first post on this.

People are using the Notre Damn Fire as a vehicle to incite hatred against Muslims. I would say that is not a very Christian thing to do and completely inappropriate to the subject of this thread particularly when it has been said again and again and again by French authorities that they believe it was accidental.

How would anyone now it was not an arson if the investigation has not eve began?! It's called "jumping to conclusions".
Besides, when the fire started, there was no construction workers around. Did the lumber ignite magically? What about the fire protection systems, don't you think such a relic would have ones?

Every week there are churches in France that are vandalized, statues tumbled and crosses desecrated with feces. Who, except the gypsies of Allah, would do such abominations? Anything to say about that?
