Who, if anyone, gives you this distorted information? It reminds me of how 9/11 trufers imagine the facts surrounding that event, e.g. "office fires can't melt steel beams" or whatever it is they chant. Same basic problem here of distorting facts, inventing straw man slogans and blaming The Man because what happened doesn't line up with their worldview or personal desires for the event. 9/11 trufers want to pin it on da Joooz and on a corrupt, deceiving US government, and now you want to pin this fire on Muslims and a corrupt, deceiving French government.

I responded to this post too. Even the most basic level of search showed those statements to be demonstrably wrong... Setting aside people's misunderstandings about fire behavior, ignition, and cause. I'm a firefighter; I've offered to answer any question people want to throw my way.

So far the loudest dog whistles are blowing by the science, chemistry, and physics like a bunch of flat earthers.

Crazy as ever, predictable as ever.

Nobody can say it was Muslims yet, or at least that isn't being made public.

But it is a high priority for Muslims.

“Notre-Dame de Paris: ‘Nothing points in the direction of an intentional act’ at the beginning of the investigation,” translated from “Notre-Dame de Paris: ‘Rien ne va dans le sens d’un acte volontaire’, selon les débuts de l’enquête,” Le Journal du Dimanche, April 16, 2019 (thanks to Maxime Lépante):

The safety procedures on the Notre-Dame de Paris construction site “have been respected,” said one of the leaders of the scaffolding of the cathedral on BFMTV Tuesday, the day after the fire that ravaged the building. “All I can tell you right now is that at the start of the fire, absolutely none of the employees of my company was present on site,” said Julien Le Bras, adding that all employees of his company, Europe Echafaudage, participated in the inquiry “without any reservation”.

High priority for certain terrorists, possibly, but enough of these efforts to slander Muslims.

Nobody knows, so it is wrong to accuse them.
However it is a main target, and even if a lone wolf is suspected.
It would bring terror into the Muslim communities by a bunch of pissed off Catholics, and French in general.

    Use other oak species.
The French government will have to decide what wood to use in reconstructing the roof.
France has a lot of money.

Pretty much too late for that. It's projected muslims will constitute a majority of the French population demographic of reproductive age within 20 years.

From there it will just be a matter of all those elderly old French people gradually and inevitably dying off.

That's what the Left always says.

    I/m not going anywhere.
Unlike most here, I am going to wait for the investigation to finish.

    WHERE THE EUROPEAN OAKS ARE

Europe's temperate oak forest belt, although in a rather fragmented condition, abuts the taiga from the south and stretches from the westerns edge of Europe (northern Portugal and Spain) to the Ural mountains.
The largest amounts of oak forest in the Temperate Zone are found:
    in Russia (3.7 million hectares),
    in France (2.1 million hectares),
    in Ukraine (1.7 million hectares),
    in Germany (900,000 hectares),
    in Denmark (500,000 hectares),
    and in Croatia (300,000 hectares

Funny thing, when it does, the lefties that instigated the madness will be flocking to conservatives for protection. By then it will be too late of course.... I have been begging my kids to emigrate to Japan, South Korea or Eastern Europe for their own safety. The West is going to be in flames in a few decades. The fall of the Rome took centuries, the amount of time for the West's fall will be much shorter. Several millennia of human ingenuity and culture erased in a few generations.... amazing.

Sometimes I think that we can appreciate more Rome because it fell. Maybe some collapse are necessary as a constructive process.

Yes, I don't doubt that many leftist would flee to european conservative country, and strangely won't bring some diversity to Pakistan, Zimbabwe or Egypt.

I think it's better to base yourself on what Epictetus says in his Enchiridion. If our life is a drama, then let's play well our role.

My daughter's oak trees were over 100 years old and toppling in storms, but no one gave her money. She had to pay them. But then again it's not Europe.
