Your logic is off. Why should someone who works for a living, pays his taxes, cares for his own family have to have a pity party for those that refuse to work? Why should this person be responsible for caring for anyone else's family but his own, especially the able bodied.

Problem with conservatism is that people don't really take any critics, it's most likely cemented position and all skepticism is aligned with basic beliefs (and targets enemies, never nothing inside own system). So there is no surprise why people are divided to friends and enemies. It's like backwards priority in world of changes. Conservatives like to stay still and keep doing same stuff without even chance to evolve themselves. If some improvements still happen, it's most likely going slow. Riding bike while hitting breaks all the time.

Sure it is.

The ghetto hospital uses it for booking surgery. The OR "overbooks" patients because of the high no-show rates. When you're getting surgery for free, it's worthless, so why bother showing up?

Simple number crunching by race of patients reveals that black patients no-show at a rate 1/3rd again higher than white patients(Hispanics too), so the scheduling algorithms adjust to overbook black patients at a higher rate, and that helps fill in the gaps that would otherwise be left in the OR schedule.

It's incredibly expensive and inefficient to have an entire OR suite, and all the staff, just sitting around waiting for a patient that never arrived because they didn't have bus fare, or getting their nails did was a higher priority. It happens all the time, and so steps are taken to mitigate the inefficiencies.

You'd probably called such a system "racist", but now we get into the whole racist Vs. reality thing again.

The ghetto hospital can either face reality, make adjustments, and make money, or it can get woke and go broke.
